These sophomores had a strong start to their summer seasons already picking up various offers. Let’s take a look at what they’ve been able to do so far this travel season.
Kate Sears Kate Sears 5’9″ | CG Watauga | 2025 State NC is continuing her strong seasons into the spring and summer with Team Curry. She does a fantastic job handling the ball pushing it up the court keeping her defender on her shoulder protecting the possession. She can handle it going either direction, and she attacks open lanes getting to the basket and finishing for some points. She can step back knocking it down from deep, too, off the dribble or catching the pass for the shot.
Kamryn Kitchen Kamryn Kitchen 5’9″ | SG Independence | 2025 State NC has all the confidence when she gets the ball around the arc, and she has the shooting stroke to back it up. She knows how to create her own space using jab steps to get her defender out of their stance, and she stays ready to catch and shoot off the pass. Her court vision is apparent finding ways to get open or make adjustments to get the pass into her teammates.
Skyla Tuthill Skyla Tuthill 5’11” | SG Winston-Salem Christian National | 2025 State NC is excellent when it comes to attacking the gaps with her ball handling finding ways to get to the basket, and she can easily score through contact. She has effective change of direction moves losing her defender easily to create her own lane. Her sharp shooting is sure to cause problems for her opponents as she can square up anywhere around the arc to get some buckets.
Highlights
Elle Stone Elle Stone 5’10” | CG Mallard Creek | 2025 State NC is a ball handler who does it all for her team. She controls the tempo, makes sharp passes, relocates after the pass, and crashes the boards for rebounds. She can set herself up for her own shot, or she can adjust to get a pass to her open teammates. She does a nice job causing defenders to crash around her to open up the floor for others to score some points, too.
Kylie Torrence Kylie Torrence 6’1″ | SF High Point Christian | 2025 State NC is another prospect on this list who has seen her share of offers come in over the past year including some more already after a strong live period. She is versatile on the court being able to get inside to post up on the block getting rebounds and scoring points. She can also handle the ball attacking the basket from the top of the key or stepping outside for her own shot.
