Youngsters in Attendance:

[player_tooltip player_id='324560' first='Maliyah' last='Birch'], [player_tooltip player_id='668305' first='Jurnee' last='Blye'] and [player_tooltip player_id='605297' first='Zy'Kiara' last='Waters'] highlighted the 2027 Palmetto State Class here today.

Birch was leading the way for the Northwood Academy Lady Chargers here today. Maliyah plays the game so poised for her age already. She was able to finish on the break with both hands and was extremely effective in passing the ball to her open teammates all day long.

Blye is still new to the game, but she has had a good month of June for the Carvers Bay HS Lady Bears and Head Coach Logan Kingsbury. Jurnee is eager to learn and play down low in the paint. She listens and reacts with results around the paint. Blye constantly plays the game in hustle mode.

Waters has some great blood lines with relatives playing in the NFL. Zy'Kiara is just part of the plans for the Lake View HS Wild Gators Head Coach Larry Inman this season in Class 1A basketball. Waters a small forward was able to drop a few short jumpers today and some floaters to the cup.

2026 Bigs Match Up:

The 2026 Palmetto State Class is going to be a good one just down the road. The Palmetto State is in good shape for talent coming up the ranks. [player_tooltip player_id='355639' first='Miracle' last='McLean'] and [player_tooltip player_id='445531' first='Autumn' last='Joseph'] got to matchup in a game vs Carolina Forest HS vs Darlington HS here today at the #CBGSL.

McLean was able to alter and challenge shots down low today for the Lady Panthers. Miracle has a long wingspan and plenty of length to be effective around the cup. She runs the floor very well and still is improving her moves around the cup. Miracle was very vocal all game long and very upbeat with her teammates. She plays the game with a great attitude.

Joseph is really coming along with her play and great footwork around the basket. Autumn is very nimble when it comes to moving from block to block. She does a tremendous job of sealing off her defender and receiving the ball down in the low post. Autumn has soft hands to receive anything thrown in her direction. She was able to play as a mover-screener at times today.

These two ladies certainly have the 2026 Palmetto State surely going in the right direction down in the post.

When looking into the backcourt at Oceanside Collegiate Academy you will see double. [player_tooltip player_id='496228' first='Josie' last='Hanks'] and [player_tooltip player_id='688841' first='Henley' last='Hanks'] make up part of the backcourt for the Lady Landsharks. Both of these sisters will see plenty of minutes and playing time this season. Josie played more on the ball today while Henley played at the shooting guard position. The Hanks sisters will both be playing this coming weekend in the Prep Girls Hoop Triumph Region Finals in Spartanburg at the Upward Star Center for the Charleston Raptors.

[player_tooltip player_id='688791' first='Gabby' last='White'] was wearing a new uniform today here at the #CBGSL . White a post player had previously played for the Wilson HS Tigers but now sees herself in a West Florence Lady Knights uniform. White a senior post player will have to be relied on heavily this season for the Lady Knights to provide production in the paint.
