This class looks to be a good one here in the Palmetto State with early looks. Who were some of the 2027 Top Performers we witnessed this weekend from Rock Hill at the #SCLive?
JaNyia Cunningham JaNyia Cunningham 6'1" | SF South Pointe | 2027 State SC – Northwestern HS (Rock Hill)
Cunningham is back healthy and playing for the Lady Trojans. JaNyia has a great skill set with her ability to handle rock from out top, post up down low or simply hit a nice mid-range jumper. She was all over the floor here today with her play. Cunningham was able to seal down on the block while showing nimble footwork around the paint. She has no problems being a mover-screener on the floor.
Khalia Hartwell Khalia Hartwell 6'5" | C Westside | 2027 State SC – Westside HS (Anderson)
Hartwell has great size in the middle and a new address this fall. She comes over to the Lady Rams after playing for T.L. Hanna HS last season. Khalia will alter and challenge shots down low in the paint. She has great length and wingspan to be very disruptive on the defensive end of the floor. Hartwell keeps the ball up high after claiming it off the glass. She shows to have a nice touch from the foul line.
Logan Murray Logan Murray 5'11" | SF Wilson | 2027 State SC – Wilson HS (Florence)
Murray a left-handed forward has to do a little bit of everything for the Lady Tigers and Head Coach Frank Williams to win games. Logan can play inside-out on the floor if it comes to shooting the ball from the short corner or posting up down on the block. She can handle the rock out top and in the open court. Logan will finish through contact and get to the charity stripe quite a bit during a game. She plays bigger than her size it seems at times.
Imani Levey Imani Levey 5'10" | C Berkeley | 2027 State SC – Berkeley HS (Moncks Corner)
Levey really likes to mix it up down low in the paint for the Lady Stags. Imani will deliver some hard fouls and really enjoys playing the game on contact. She will look to carve out space and work for position down low on the block. She connected on a few short corner jumpers when she wasn’t looking to post up.
Trinity Crumlin Trinity Crumlin 6'2" | C Dutch Fork | 2027 State SC – Dutch Fork HS
Trinity does a nice job of staying active on both sides of the floor. She was able to connect on a short 4–6-foot jumper when she was finishing at the rim. Crumlin was able to run the lanes and showed to have good hands when the ball was thrown in her direction.
Teryn Hobson Teryn Hobson 5'9" | PF Lugoff-Elgin | 2027 State SC and Jillian Rush Jillian Rush 5'10" | PF Lugoff-Elgin | 2027 State SC – Lugoff-Elgin HS
This duo of Hobson and Rush can only see better times in a Demons uniform this coming season. Last season was tough winning just 3 games. Hobson and Rush look to be the future of this basketball program. This combination plays well one another for the red and white.
