Today we released the Summer rankings update for the Class of 2026. The total number of prospects listed (100 players) did not grow, however we went from a Top-35 with a 65-player watchlist to a Top-50 with a 50-player watchlist. At this time, I wanted to highlight all of the power forwards and centers in the Class of 2026 we have listed at this time, as well as highlight a handful of ladies who stood out throughout the Spring.

KEEP AN EYE ON:
Brooklynn’s growth and development have been outstanding over the past 12-18 months. She is incredibly long, fluidly athletic, and she looks like she could still grow another inch or two. She continues to work on her skillset, and she is starting to shoot it with some consistency from around the perimeter. Though it could be caused by her rapid growth, she still plays a little “tall” with the ball in her hands, and she needs to play lower to protect her dribble, plus she needs to defend lower. Otherwise, she has a great deal of upside/potential.
Watching “C.C.” in both the Sectional, and throughout the Spring, she is playing with a new-found confidence and assertiveness that’s fun to watch. She has nice length, a wiry-strong frame, and she’s fairly mobile at her size. She has touch facing the basket and will ultimately be recruited as a pick-and-pop “4/5”. As she continues to gain strength, it could benefit her to play a little more inside to become a versatile threat, because she does have good hands and skill around the basket.
Highlights
In the times I’ve been able to see Katherine this Spring, she has been very good and steady playing “up” at the 17U level. She has a solid to strong frame, nice length, and she’s a good athlete in most directions. She still needs to add a little more strength, because she does like to play somewhat physical on the interior. But I do really like how she has a nose for the ball, she will do a lot of the “little things” to help her team win, and she plays with a nice all-around motor.
Due to some graduation losses, Gabby should be stepping into some major playing time as a Sophomore. She has a strong frame, broad shoulders, and some length. She plays with a really nice motor, and she’s a solid all-around athlete in most directions. She has some touch/skill between the mid-post and the arc, but right now she’s most effective attacking the basket, or at least scoring it from 15-feet and in. I look for her to draw a lot of varying interest from different colleges.
Highlights
Shaniyah seems to be all energy all the time. She has a strong, powerful frame, solid length, and she’s a versatile athlete with a little bounce to her as well. She plays all over the floor, from the arc to the rim, but she’s probably best knocking down 15-footers or attacking the basket North/South and finishing inside. I feel like she’s quite the mismatch problem, because she can use her strength to attack smaller, weaker opponents, or she can switch to her skill against bigger, stronger opponents.
