This past Saturday, June 10th, Indiana All-Star Director Mike Broughton organized the first annual Futures Games for some of the top underclass girls and boys from around the Hoosier state. The “North” team defeated the “South” team, 73-63. A number of younger stars stepped up on the big stage at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, but everyone seemed to contribute at some point during the matinee girls’ game. Below are a few thoughts for each girl who was in attendance.
.
NORTH TEAM:
#0 Addison Bowsman, Twin Lakes – The 2025 point guard was steady all game. She scored 5 points on an efficient 2-3 shooting, handed out an assist, collected a steal, and turned it over just once. She has proven to be a versatile and productive player through two seasons.
#2 Talia Harris Talia Harris 5'8" | PG Fishers | 2024 State IN , Fishers – The lefty 2024 guard finished as the game’s MVP. She scored 8 points, assisted on 5 other baskets, collected 9 rebounds, and turned it over just once. Talia was key in helping the North team break the press, and she has shown a lot more disciplined and improved skill over the past 12-18 months.
#3 Jordyn Poole Jordyn Poole 5'6" | PG Fort Wayne Snider | 2024 State IN , Fort Wayne Snider – The dynamic 2024 playmaker looked at times like she could take over the game, but she did a nice job of distributing the basketball and contributing defensively as well. She finished second on the team with 11 points, and she will certainly be a top candidate for the 2024 Miss Basketball award. She has already committed to Purdue University.
#4 Alli Harness Alli Harness 5'8" | CG Carroll (Flora) | 2024 State IN , Carroll (Flora) – The recent Western Michigan University commit found it a little more difficult to knock down shots than she did last Wednesday in a Junior All-Star upset of the Seniors, but Alli still managed to make a couple of highlight plays, scoring 5 points. I expect an explosive Senior season out of her in 2023-2024.
#5 Addison Baxter Addison Baxter 5'9" | PG Columbia City | 2025 State IN , Carroll (Fort Wayne) – The long and wiry 2025 point guard made a couple of big shots/plays down the stretch for the North team, helping them maintain their lead. The Butler University commit knock down a big 3-pointer, as she tallied 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
#6 Camryn Runner Camryn Runner 5'9" | CG Hamilton Heights | 2024 State IN , Hamilton Heights – Camryn is another 2024 guard who isn’t always flashy, but she’s typically pretty steady. She chipped in 2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals, and she was one of two players on her team not to turn it over at all. She recently picked up an offer from Division-II Thomas More.
#7 Lillian Barnes Lillian Barnes 5'11" | SF Valparaiso | 2026 State IN , Valparaiso – Lillian has a big reputation for such a young player, and she is an outstanding basketball player who finds different ways to contribute each game. In this one, the 2026 wing led the way with 10 rebounds and 6 steals, while adding 4 points and a pair of assists. She recently picked up her first Power-5 offer from Purdue University.
#8 Adrianne Tolen Adrianne Tolen 5'10" | SF West Lafayette | 2024 State IN , West Lafayette – Adrianne is another incredibly versatile, multisport 2024 athlete. She is still a bit under the radar, but I expect her to be a tremendous small college player in a couple of years. She helped the North with a balance of 6 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal.
#9 Ava Ziolkowski Ava Ziolkowski 6'1" | PF Crown Point | 2024 State IN , Crown Point – The 6-1 2024 forward picked it up in the second half, scoring 9 points and grabbing 3 rebounds in total. She also hit a clutch 3-pointer late to help the North stay in front. She has widespread interest from varying levels of schools, but one thing’s for sure…she can shoot it with limited space and time.
#10 Maya Makalusky Maya Makalusky 6'3" | SF Hamilton Southeastern | 2025 State IN , Hamilton Southeastern – The long and wiry 6-3 wing was another who really picked it up down the stretch. She led all scorers with 15 points, including making a couple of big 3-pointers late. The 2025 was a bit more physical and aggressive than usual inside the arc, and she has offers from most Division-I schools in the Midwest.
Avery Gordon Avery Gordon 6'6" | C Brownsburg | 2025 State IN , Brownsburg – Avery was in uniform and on the bench for the North team, but she is still overcoming an injury suffered during the last “live” period toward the end of July. The 2025 post holds a number of Power-5 offers and hopes to be back for the July stretch.
.
SOUTH TEAM:
#2 Emma Haan Emma Haan 5'8" | SG Zionsville | 2024 State IN , Zionsville – The 2024 bulldog played with great energy and effort, as always, and while she didn’t put up huge numbers, she was always in the action. Her 2 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds were solid, but she was also very good defensively. She picked up an offer this Spring from the University of Vermont.
#3 Reagan Wilson Reagan Wilson 5'7" | PG Noblesville | 2024 State IN , Noblesville – I don’t think it’s to anyone’s surprise you could hear Reagan from the stands. Her ability to organize and run an offense is elite in this class, which is probably why Iowa State University is so happy to have a commitment from the 2024. Reagan managed just 3 points, but she added 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
#4 Chloe Spreen Chloe Spreen 5'10" | SG Bedford North Lawrence | 2024 State IN , Bedford North Lawrence – A 2024 Miss Basketball candidate, Chloe was all over the place, attempting to make plays at both ends of the floor. There was good and bad with it, but all in all, she finished with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. She recently made a verbal commitment to the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
#5 Avah Montgomery Avah Montgomery 5'9" | SG Southridge | 2025 State IN , Southridge – Avah is a 2025 guard very much under the radar. She has even missed much of this Spring due to some injury issues, but she played this past Saturday. She had her moments and finished with 4 points. She will likely draw a variety of interest from schools at just about every level.
#6 Aniyah McKenzie Aniyah McKenzie 6'0" | PF Lawrence Central | 2026 State IN , Lawrence Central – Aniyah remains one of my favorite prospects in 2026 because of her toughness, motor, and versatility. She has a strong frame, she moves well in most directions, and she is always productive. She helped the South by being to play inside or out, especially defensively.
#7 Meredith Tippner Meredith Tippner 5'10" | SG Noblesville | 2025 State IN , Noblesville – Meredith is a really nice athlete, hard-working, and competitive. She flew around the floor as usual, knocked down a big 3-pointer late in front of her team’s bench, and she finished with 6 points, 10 rebounds, plus she stole it twice and didn’t turn it over. She has a number of offers already as a 2025.
#8 Jaylah Lampley Jaylah Lampley 6'2" | SF Lawrence Central | 2025 State IN , Lawrence Central – Jaylah is one of the top 2025s in the country, and she led the game in an interesting stat…fouls drawn. That is not to be taken lightly, as she forces defenses to put themselves into bad positions, while earning free throw opportunities. Jaylah tied for her team’s lead with 12 points, 6 of those from the line, plus she added 8 rebounds.
#10 Rachel Harshman Rachel Harshman 6'0" | PF Mooresville | 2024 State IN , Mooresville – Rachel is both strong and skillful at the same time, and the 2024 forward did a nice job of drawing contact. She scored 8 points and collected 4 caroms, plus she knocked down a nice 3-pointer in the second half. She has picked up some nice small college offers and Division-I interest this Spring.
#11 Brooklynn Renn Brooklynn Renn 6'3" | PF Silver Creek | 2026 State IN , Silver Creek – The extremely long and fluid 2026 forward definitely looked the part with the older girls surrounding her, and she chipped in 4 points and 2 rebounds in limited minutes. Her best days are certainly in front of her, as she continues to grow and gain strength, plus she has added more skill each offseason.
#12 Juliann Woodard Juliann Woodard 6'1" | PF Jennings County | 2024 State IN , Jennings County – Juliann was clearly one of the better prospects on the floor Saturday and stood out in such a way. She was active, aggressive, and she affected the game at both ends of the floor. She scored 12 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and collected 4 steals. She is one of the best uncommitted 2024s in the Midwest.
#14 Lauren Foster Lauren Foster 5'7" | SG Indian Creek | 2024 State IN , Indian Creek – Lauren is another very active, tough-nosed, and hard-working kid. She is always around the basketball, she’ll get on the floor, and she rebounds her position well. In limited minutes, she managed to grab a pair of rebounds and assist on 2 baskets. She is a really nice guard prospect.
