Elysionna Westerfield Elysionna Westerfield 5'8" | CG CR Washington | 2027 State IA – 2027 – 5’8 – CG – Team Iowa 2027 BlueStar
Elysionna Westerfield Elysionna Westerfield 5'8" | CG CR Washington | 2027 State IA was a 2027 that I saw compete this weekend for the first time and let me just say, wow. Westerfield has all the intangibles and natural gifts to be a great player moving forward. Size wise she looks like a good height already, while having a skilled offensive”bag” that she can pull a plethora of tricks out of, at any given moment. I did notice that she is very hard on herself on the court, almost to a fault, and that is something that will need to switch up on the high school floor. She just needs to realize everyone makes mistakes and it’s better to move onto the next play. Something I’m sure she will learn as she gets older. Her future though? Brighter then bright when it comes to the game of basketball.
Alli Linke – 2026 – 6’1 – SF – IL wolverinas 2026
Alli Linke did some eye opening this weekend at Nike TOC. Linke, a 6’1 small forward, showed off her diverse skill set on a number of occasions this weekend. She moves off of the ball well, while being a dominate force inside the lane against smaller defenders. She is the definition of a three level scorer with her ability. Defensively, she is just as good. A lengthy player that can get stops on bigger offensive players in the post or smaller guards out on the perimeter, at a high rate. Linke is a player to keep an on eye moving forward. She does a lot of positive things on the floor, even when she is not scoring the ball. Something that every college coach loves to see. A player who can produce without scoring and can play a few different positions, and that’s what Linke is right now.
Kayl Petersen – 2024 – 6’0 – CG – WI Flight Elite EYBL 17U
Kayl Petersen from Wisconsin Flight Elite EYBL 17U was fun to watch during the EYBL Nike Nationals this past weekend. Petersen, a Marquette WBB commit, is a lengthy guard who can spread the floor. I have her at the combo guard position above for a few reasons but most importantly because right now she can play the 2-4, for any of her teams. In college it would be most likely the 3 or even the 2 spot for Petersen, if she can keep her deep range game consistent. When I had the opportunity to watch Petersen was scoring on all three levels with ease, while knocking down some big shots in some big moments. She is going to turn out to be quite the college player one day, just wait and see.
Callie Hales – 2027 – 5’7 – PG – All Iowa Attack
Callie Hales has a bright future ahead of herself on the basketball court. A player that I recently added to the 2027 rankings watch-list in Iowa, is showing off to a bunch of potential recruiters this AAU season. She has done her main job of creating for others on her team at a high and efficient rate moving down the floor, while scoring whenever she sees an opportunity. Hales will attend Gilbert high school this winter and is sure to make a statement as to why she should be moved up to the varsity level at some point, if not immediately. If she expands her game over the next few years and continues to grow a few more inches, we are talking about a player with big aspirations on a college court before it’s all said and done.
Destiny Jackson Destiny Jackson 5'6" | CG Whitney Young | 2025 State IL – 2025 – 5’7 – PG – Example Sports UAA 17U
I didn’t have the chance to watch Destiny Jackson Destiny Jackson 5'6" | CG Whitney Young | 2025 State IL live this past weekend but from what I have seen on video, she was lighting it up from all over the court and making the crowds go wild. Jackson is a very fun player to watch. She is a shifty point guard, with a quick first step, who can score 30 points on you from all three levels, in the blink of an eye. Not to mention, that she is a tyrant on defense and can really bring pressure to her opponents that are handling the ball. This all makes a lot of sense when you consider that Jackson is a Top 35 ranked player in the 2025 class, throughout the country. Whatever college ends up snagging Jackson is getting a hard working guard, who will understand the assignment and execute. I’m excited to see where her future leads her. No matter where it is, it’s going to be electric.
