Straub was one of the best passers at the showcase on Saturday. She really looked to push the pace with the pass. Straub rebounded the ball and immediately looked up the floor and got it to a teammate on the move. This created multiple easy transition scoring opportunities for her team.
Farr is one of the more exciting prospects in the state and she showed why at the showcase. Her passing was a thing of beauty on Saturday. Farr showed the ability to play with her head up, see the action and deliver an accurate pass on the move and in transition. Combine this with her ability to shoot and you’ve got a dangerous lead guard.
Highlights
Janielle Turner
Janielle Turner
Turner showed why scouts and coaches can’t wait for her to hit high school. She has some very real and very good ball skills, with passing most certainly one of those. I was probably most impressed with her use of the bounce pass. Turner seemed to know when and why to use it and put it in the right spot for her teammates.
Mikus is a talented guard that we’ll be hearing a lot from through her high school basketball career. She’s a versatile and well rounded player that can find her teammates with the ball. Mikus sees the floor and is very comfortable using the pass to get the ball up the floor and break pressure.
Harper Backus
Harper Backus
Backus’ name is becoming sort of a regular thing isn’t it? I think we should get used to it judging by the way she played at the showcase. Backus was tremendous passing the ball out of the post. She collected feeds on the block and if nothing was there, kicked the ball out to open shooters.
