Delaware State University hosted and Elite Camp that attracted players from up and down the East Coast and Mid Atlantic areas. In this piece I will highlight some of the Maryland prospects who put in some work in front of the staff.

Raigan was on point all day. She played hard and showed off her versatility. She's a big guard that can play point and off the ball. She has all the tools to get out on the wing as well. She's an excellent on ball defender and when she locked up, more than one ball handler got rid of the ball instead of challenging her. She should have walked away with the offer on the spot.

[player_tooltip player_id='533653' first='Destaney' last='Harris'], 2024, Loch Raven, Team Melo, 5'2" Point Guard

Coming into the camp I knew Destaney could shoot from deep, defend and hustles all over the court. At the camp I learned that she has been working on her ball handling and trying to facilitate more while running the offense. With so many guards at the camp, it was hard to get touches, but she made the most of her opportunities. Growth.

[player_tooltip player_id='304622' first='Mickelle' last='Lowry'], 2024, Poly, Team Melo, 5'5" Point Guard

Mickelle is known for getting buckets and making big shots. She showed off her scoring ability all day, in the drills and in the scrimmages. She has a knack for making tough shots with defenders in her face and she did that. She played some defense too.

[player_tooltip player_id='569089' first='Camille' last='Nesmith'], 2026, River Hill, Team Thrill, 6'3" Center

Camille is showing continued development every time she shows up. She was active and assertive on offense and is starting to expand her game. I like how she ran the court and she played with tremendous confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='535821' first='Layla' last='Burton'], 2025, Elizabeth Seton, [program_tooltip program_id='714370' first='Germantown' last='Lady Panthers'], 5'5" Guard

Layla came into the camp with the Del State offer already in the bag. She did not give them any reason to think about taking it back. She was one of the best players in the gym and got buckets at will. She has moved on to a new school and will play at Elizabeth Seton in the WCAC.

[player_tooltip player_id='539737' first='Brianna' last='Pope'], 2025, Poly, Team Thrill, 5'10" Guard

Brianna didn't get a lot of touches in the game I watched, but she acquitted herself well in other areas. She was definitely doing the little things to get the staff's attention. She defended, set screens and was active on the boards. She showed decent range on her shot and stayed upbeat throughout the day.
