CG Kenzy Freeland scored at all three levels Sunday and showed how deadly she is from deep. One of her highlights from the day was sinking a clutch 3-pointer in the final moments of a one possession game. Her inside out dribbles, crossovers, and downhill drives challenged defenders and she is a difficult assignment because of her deep ball accuracy. Kenzy will be an exciting prospect to watch with Kent City this winter. Read more here.
Allison Crighton Allison Crighton 5’6″ | SG St Mary’s Prep | 2027 State MI started the day off on fire from 3-pt range on Sunday. Some notes I had for Allison during the first game I watched Sunday: 3 pt corner, 3 pt corner, 3 pt wing, and patient push-out side dribble to create space. She started the game shooting 75% from 3 and with her ball-handling abilities, Allison will be a challenge for defenses this season. Read more about her Sunday here.

Jordynn is one of a couple left-handed CG’s who made an impact on Sunday. She has unique downhill speed, quickness, and strength to get buckets at the rim. Jordynn creates problems for defenses because she has exceptional skills to use step backs and retreat dribbles into a balanced pull-up position. She hit a deep wing 3-pt shot and if the defender gives her space she will pull up and hit the jumper in transition. Jordynn will be an exciting prospect to see develop in the West Bloomfield program. Read more here.
Avery Hannah Avery Hannah 5’8″ | CG Haslett | 2027 State MI is a shooting guard who had an outstanding day Sunday at the Freshman Showcase. She scored at all three levels by using her dynamic ball-handling abilities and aggressiveness. Some notes I had from her day: drive into contact for a foul, converted free throw, corner 3 (shooter), vision, runner in traffic, corner 3, creates space with dribble, full court pressure defense. Avery is an all around baller who will make a name for herself at Haslett this season. Read more here.

Grace Atkinson Grace Atkinson 5’5″ | SF Holt | 2027 State MI made her 3-point skills obvious Sunday at the Freshman Showcase. She sunk two 3-pointers from the corner and wing during her second game. She has an endless motor and her length makes guarding her a challenge for smaller guards. Grace will be a great addition to the Holt HS program this season. Read more here.
Sophia Mator Sophia Mator 5’6″ | PG Carelton Airport | 2027 State MI is a solid guard who will make some noise in the winter with Airport. She plays good basketball on both sides of the floor and showed her range by making 3-pointers Sunday. A couple notes I had for her Sunday: aggressive on-ball defense, deflection with ball pressure, wing 3 off the dribble, and nice floater attempt. Sophia is an all around player who I look forward to seeing throughout her high school career. Read more here.

Jozelynn Begick Jozelynn Begick 5’10” | SG Freeland | 2027 State MI made an impact on both sides of the ball, which included 3-point success. Some notes I had from her day Sunday: Fake pass layup finish, pull-up 3, great skip pass for assist, two handed runner finish, left hand scoop, right hand scoop, switch hands on the drive, and steal. As you can see Jozelynn makes plays on both ends of the court and has a multifaceted offensive game. She will be an asset for Freeland this season. Read more here.

Grace is a guard who really started to heat up and hit her stride as the day went on Sunday. Some notes I had on her Sunday: layup, layup, 1 hand rocket bounce pass for assist, oreb and mid-range pull up jumper, confident ball handler. She hit a wing 3 pointer, floater in front of the basket and floater baseline. She was a constant “wolf” from behind stealing the basketball. Grace had an impressive day Sunday and will be a prospect on the rise in Holt’s program. Read more on her day here.
