Tiara Thompson is already a leader on the court even as a sophomore continuing her reign with the 3A State Champions. She hustles back on defense showing off her ability to block shots in transition. She had a nice play hustling up the court after deflecting the pass and filling the perfect lane to get the pass and bucket even with a defender trying to keep up with her. She has a nice shot from deep showing off her ability to score on all levels.
My’Asia Young was playing such nice defense knocking the ball away and grabbing the steal on the full court press. She set traps at the perfect time causing problems for her opponents. She had some nice blocked shots in the paint, too, knowing exactly how to track the ball. Her ability to make adjustments to get the pass to her teammates underneath the basket always helps elevate her team.
Jeta North showed some nice court vision finding her teammate from the top of the key making the dish underneath the basket. She runs the court well being ready for the pass in transition, and she knows exactly how to find the open space looking for the pass. Look for her to continue to expand the floor knocking down shots from around the perimeter this season.

Blythe Cunningham Blythe Cunningham 5’5″ | CG Wesleyan Christian | 2027 State NC does such a nice job making cuts without the ball flashing all across the court coming off screens smoothly to get the pass and go to work. She has a nice shot from deep, or she can take it all the way to the hoop. She reads her opponents well being able to strip the ball and take it the other direction.

She did a nice job sliding around the perimeter for some three point buckets, too. She knows how to fill in the role that her team needs in the moment whether she’s bringing the ball up the court or getting inside flashing in the paint looking for the pass.
