Wednesday, we released the updated rankings for the Class of 2025. We did not expand the list at all, so there is still a Top-75 and a watch list of another 100 prospects, so a total of 175 members of the Class of 2025 are listed on Prep Girls Hoops Indiana. This quarter is more of a maintenance update heading into the high school season, but we will expand the list once again around Christmas. Below, I wanted to highlight all of the point guards in the class who we currently have listed, as well as highlight a handful of ladies who stood out throughout the Summer and early Fall.

SUMMER/FALL STOCK-RISERS & ANY NEWCOMERS:
Kya Hurt

Lawrence North | 2025
State
IN
, 2025, 5-7 PG, Lawrence North H.S.
– Kya is a strong, somewhat physical, and athletic point guard. She does a nice job balancing taking care of the basketball with creating scoring opportunities for herself or others. Over the last couple of Summers, she has done a really nice job of becoming more efficient while cutting down on turnovers. She is shooting it better outside, plus she has really improved her sense of urgency at the defensive end of the floor.
Alyssa Murphy

Murphy

Corydon Central | 2025
State
IN
, 2025, 5-5 PG, Corydon Central H.S.
– Alyssa grew up in Southern Indiana, but she opted to attend school in Louisville, Kentucky, her first two years of high school. As a Junior, she has returned to Corydon Central, though she will unfortunately miss the 2023-2024 season with an injury. When healthy, Alyssa is a dynamic little guard. She is quick, fast, and shifty off the bounce, she can find teammates through small windows, plus she can score it consistently.
Katy Rooney

Silver Creek | 2025
IN
, 2025, 5-3 PG, Silver Creek H.S.
– Katy was very good when I was able to see her in June and early July. She isn’t very big, but she has some strength at her size, she plays with a nice toughness and a great motor, plus she has nice speed and quickness. Her standout quality is probably her ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter. If she has any space and finds rhythm, it’s likely going in. Defensively, she is scrappy and can pick up full-court or chase in the half-court.
Emma Simpson

Parke Heritage | 2025
State
IN
, 2025, 5-7 PG, Parke Heritage H.S.
– Emma was good in different environments (school & grassroots) throughout the Summer, and she will be one to watch headed into the Winter. She has a long, athletic frame, she is a really nice North/South athlete, but she can handle the ball with either hand and change directions well. With her school team, she showed the ability to shoot/score it at a high level, but with her grassroots team she was more of a facilitator.
Aniah Smith

5'3" | PG
Avon | 2025
State
IN
, 2025, 5-3 PG, Avon H.S.
– Aniah is one of the most entertaining point guards to watch in the 2025 class. She is extremely quick/fast, and she is very shifty off the bounce. She gets gaps well, collapses defenses, and willingly finds open teammates with creative passes. Additionally, she can knock down an open rhythm jumper. Defensively, she is an absolute ball hawk, always turning opponents and causing them to fumble the ball away on their own.
