I had the chance to stop by the new training facility for the Michigan Drive Premier today for the 5vs5 Open Run. Coach Copeland and Staff had their girls working hard.
Wypych was the best player in the gym! She can score on all levels, but today, she was using her basketball IQ to help communicate with players to help them get better. She proved herself a winner when she led her team to a State Championship last winter, and her winning streak will continue.
Weaver is a player who always seems to be in a gym working on her game! What Coach wouldn’t like that?! She showed today that she can knock down shots and get to the rim and finish through contact. I look forward to watching Reagan this Winter with her East Grand Rapids team.
Scheuneman is new to grassroots and will be sure to turn heads. She is a long, athletic guard who uses her length to her advantage. She has a nice outside shot and showed off her long ball and mid-range jumper. She crashes the boards hard and can get the offensive put-backs.
Holman is a crafty guard who can both create for herself and involve her teammates. She has a quick first step and used it to blow by her defender multiple times. She was a menace on the defensive end and came away with numerous steals. I look forward to watching her game progress.
