Moses is a lefty sniper from Tellico Plains HS. She went under the radar last season as TP had a down season, and she didn’t draw a ton of attention. Their is always a silver lining, however, and as the talent level on the team was down, it forced Moses into a primary ball handler role that she wasn’t quite ready for–she’s also been an off-the-ball shooter/play maker. I think in the long run, this experience is going to help her in HS career as she was thrown directly into the fire.
Coming of a great AAU season, I believe Moses is going to make a jump this year. She is at her best as a shooter, either coming off screen, feet set after help has been drawn, or pulling up in transition. And her range is deeeeep. Having the ball in her hands all of last season has also helped her development as a playmaker attacking the rim. She’s one of the better shooters in the ’26 class.
Highlights
Barnes (5’9) doesn’t get enough notoriety for her freshman campaign in which she took hom District MVP honors. She is already one of the best scorers in the class, and is one of the few legit 3-level scorers. She is a willing and capable 3pt shooter, but she doesn’t fall in love with the 3 ball–she’s always seeking opportunities to attack closeouts, attack gaps in a zone, and is deadly in transition. Really understands the nuances of finishes as her footwork is fantastic. Once she gets into the paint she can finish of two feet (stride stops or jump stops) or one foot; she can finish around or through contact. Her scoring package is incredibly advance for a sophomore, and the state should be excited to watch her development over the next 3 years.

King isn’t ranked on the PGH TN site–but I promise you she should be. Playing at Meigs, she just isn’t on many people’s radar. She is a 5’11 modern post that is equally comfortable playing on the perimeter as she is with her back to the basket. I coached her in AAU in 8th grade, and skill wise, she’s a guard stuck in a posts body. She’s a capable ball handler, and is so good at pulling a rebound and creating her own fast break. She needs to work on her consistency as a 3pt shooter, but she can get hot in a hurry. She also has the full array of post moves you’d hope from a 5’11 player. She plays with an aggression and tenacity that’s fun to watch. Gained valuable experience this summer being pulled up to the ETA ’25 (Smith) team at times, and gave them valuable minutes. I’m expecting a big-time season from King in which she becomes an all-district player.
Morris (5’5) is a small guard, but plays much bigger than that for Brentwood. When you watch her, she they type of “connector” that all really good teams need. She stars in her role as a do it all combo guard. Playing with Anna Williams Anna Williams 6’2″ | C Brentwood | 2026 State TN and Ava Jarraet, Morris has bought into the idea that she doesn’t need to be THE star, she simply needs to impact winning as it fits into the teams system. And in that role she thrives. She’s grown into a consistent shooter, and finds a lot of open jumpers when Williams and Jarrett draw help. She’s also a heady passer understand when and where to deliver passes to put her teammates in position to make a play. Great teammate, high IQ, willing to do the dirty work.
My conversations with college coaches often go back to theme of role players–80% of HS kids that go on to play college ball will be a role player at the collegiate level. For many HS kids, this adjustment is really hard as they grew up always being the star. Some coaches specifically target players like Morris because they’ve already proven they can thrive playing in an off-the-ball role. Look for Morris game to continue to grow on a really talent Brentwood team.
There are three 26’s on Brentwood’s squad that are worth mentioning, so let’s go ahead and talk about them together. Morris is the glue that connects them. And Anna Williams Anna Williams 6’2″ | C Brentwood | 2026 State TN (6’2) is the foundation that its built on. Her size jumps out at you immediately, and defensively, she’s already a game changer. Brentwood’s guards are able to apply heavy pressure and gamble a bit as they know they have Williams behind them at the rim. She is a high level shot blocker with great instincts. She’s a fierce rebounder, and really sets the tone for the team defensively as she takes pride in playing on both sides of the ball.
Offensively, her game is much improved. She played a lot of valuable minutes as a freshman, but her skill hadn’t quite caught up to her potential. It’s all starting to come together for her now….as she’s improved her finishing around the rim, improved her footwork, and is not even starting to step away from the paint and hit jumpers from 15ft. She has a chance to be a special player with her unique combination of size, athleticism, and growing skill set.
Jarrett (5’8) is the third ’26 on Brentwood that will be a starter from the jump. Jarrett has a fantastic mix of length and athleticism that she puts to good use. She’s a diverse scorer that will eventually be a 3-level scoring. I believe she’s at her best attacking the rim as a finisher, and she’s deadly in transition. She’s become a consistent 3pt threat which Williams room to operate down low.
A high level defender that knows how to use her length (and knows Williams will protect the rim if she gets beat!). She’s a fierce competitor, plays with passion, and really is fun to watch. Equally committed to playing hard on both ends of the floor. Has the chance to be a disruptive on the ball defender.
