With the girls' basketball season already into week #5, I wanted to highlight a handful of 2027s who have had big starts to their rookie campaigns. Below is a quick look at five members of the 2027 class who have gotten out of the gates quickly to begin the 2023-2024 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='834913' first='Kylah' last='Patterson'], 2027, 5-11 F, Hammond Morton H.S.
- "K.P." wasn't on our radar to begin the season, but she has certainly gained our attention. The long, wiry-strong, and athletic combo forward is averaging 26.6 points and 12.8 rebounds per game through eight games, including a 41-point games, plus two 30-point games already. She is definitely someone we intend to check out in-person very soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='751062' first='Grace' last='Fischer'], 2027, 5-9 W, Waldron H.S.
- Grace is a long, wiry, fluid, and somewhat smooth wing prospect. She had a solid showing at our PGH Freshman Showcase in the Fall, but she's been even more impressive for the Mohawks this year, averaging 14.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, helping Waldron to nearly match last season's win total through just eight games already this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='834948' first='Ally' last='Lewis'], 2027, 5-7 W, Western Boone H.S.
- Ally has had her ups and downs as a Freshman thus far, but she showed her long-term potential with a 31-point outburst on November 7th. She is a capable perimeter shooter, but she also does a really nice job of drawing contact and earning repeated trips to the charity stripe. On the season, she is averaging 12.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='834957' first='Harper' last='Moore'], 2027, 5-7 G, Beech Grove H.S.
- Harper has helped solidify the Beech Grove backcourt in just her first season, adding someone who can both score the ball, plus she is a capable and willing distributor. She has scored in double-figures in five of the six games recorded, averaging 12.0 points per game, but she is also handed out 2.8 assists per game for the Lady Hornets.

[player_tooltip player_id='890801' first='Madisyn' last='Douglass'], 2027, 5-5 G, Caston H.S.
- Madisyn has stepped into the perfect situation to grow on an upperclassmen-led Caston team. She doesn't have the pressure to put up big numbers every night, but she has shown that potential. In their opening game, for example, they needed her 23 points to win. She is averaging 11.3 points, 2.8 assists, and 4.7 steals per game for the Comets.
