In the article below, we are going to cover our new Top 5 from the 2026 Class. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Starting off our Top 5 rankings at the #5 spot is Ani Leu Ani Leu 6’0″ | PG Lincoln North Star | 2026 State NE of Lincoln North Star High School. Leu is a tall and lengthy point guard. She is great at setting the pace of play for the game, getting her teammates involved in every which way, and creating for herself when everything else breaks down. The mixture of size and knowledge is what is eye opening about Leu’s game. She always knows what is going down around her on the hardwood and she is very good at making quick adjustments in real time, no matter the situation. Currently I have Leu as a Division-2 player at the end of her high school career. I had a chance to see her at our PGH Top 250 Camp prior to this season and she stood out in more ways than one. My only “knock” on her game would be her individual pace. If she learns to mix up her paces coming down the floor from fast, to slow, to fast again, ect. Then we are potentially talking about reaching that Division-1 level. There is still a long way to go for that to all occur but where she is at right now, is a good place.
Highlights
Last season Izzie Galligan Izzie Galligan 5’9″ | SG Millard North | 2026 State NE didn’t see the varsity floor a ton as a freshman because of the roster that her Millard North team possessed but that has all quickly changed. To begin this winter, Galligan is starting for her Mustangs team and leading them in points per game, field goal percentage, and assists per game. If you are unfamiliar with Galligans play-style, it’s quick, crafty, and fundamental. She possesses a coordinated and balanced shooting stroke that always looks the same on release, an act for creating and disturbing off of the catch or dribble, and tenacity on both sides of the floor. All of this leads us as to why Galligan comes in at our #3 spot in this Rankings Update. She checks off a lot of boxes that college recruits will look for and displays a great “feel” for the game. The type of “feel” you can’t neccesarily teach from a coaching perspective. When you combined all of this stuff together, you get a D1 basketball player and that’s what I think Galligan can be before her high school career comes to an end. If she continues to get better, as she see more time on the varsity floor, everyone better watch out.
Kylee Paben Kylee Paben 6’1″ | SF Millard West | 2026 State NE has had a steady and consistent season thus far for her Millard West High School team and because of that, she is moving into our #2 spot in the 2026 Class. Paben, a 6’1 force in the paint, falls into this spot not only because of her current production but because of her ceiling. She stands at around 6’1 with coordination, balance, and strength. Not to mention that she welcomes contact on any given opportunity and has demonstrated the ability to finish through a physical defender. On a roster that possesses two future Power 5 basketball players in the Gessert Twins, sometimes it can be hard to stand out and get noticed each game but Paben is playing consistent, making her minutes count, and producing because of it. By the end of this season, I wouldn’t be shocked if she has some of the best numbers out of all Post players, regardless of grade-level, throughout the state. Her abilities, mixed with the skill of the others around her, is dominant and that’s not going to change anytime soon.
Taking over the #1 spot for our 2026 Class in this Players Rankings Update is Halle Dolliver Halle Dolliver 5’10” | CG Malcolm | 2026 State NE of Malcolm High School. Dolliver has been a constant ever since she stepped on the high school floor at the beginning of last season. She came in as a freshman and put up big numbers while helping lead her team to a state appearance. To begin this season, she has done much of the same. She is averaging around 27 PPG and 13 RPG, while leading her team to an undefeated record so far. Her play style is simple but efficient. She uses her strength and coordination to beat alike size opponents and has demonstrated the ability to spread the floor if need be, bringing out her bigger defenders to the perimeter and taking them off of the dribble, whenever she has the opportunity. Accounting for individual production, skill level, and team success, it’s hard to deny that Dolliver is the best player out of this 2026 Class at the moment. There are a ton of collegiate level players throughout this state and grade-level but as of right now, Dolliver is producing at a complete other level.
