Booth’s Hamilton team has struggled this year, but individually, she has not. According to MaxPreps, Booth is the state’s scoring leader at 29.5 points/game on 51% shooting. She’s averaging a 3 per game, but it’s REALLY hard to get to thirty points while only hitting one three. She has one of the highest numbers of made free throws in the state, and that means she’s relentlessly putting pressure on the rim. This ’24 is as lethal a scorer in TN as there is.
At PGH TN, we are Team Kami. She’s averaging 27.4 points on 51% shooting. And the secret is out! Wilson is a scoring machine, and defenses are gearing up to stop her–and they cannot. She’s recently seen her three point shooting tick up to almost two made threes per game on 25% shooting from 3. Considering where she earlier this season shooting the three ball percentage wise, if she can get her number up to 30% it will take her to another level.

Butler is averaging 23.5 points per game at Livingston this season. I think that what she’s doing is extremely under appreciated. She’s getting to 23 points a night while facing constant double teams. Every teams game plan is to shut her down….and everyone’s game plan fails. Livingston should be a 3A Miss Basketball Candidate in my opinion.

Wilhoit is only a freshman, but scores like a Division 1 player already. She’s a 5’8 guard with spectacular range. She’s averaging 2.6 made threes per game, and 19 points per. Her efficiency numbers have room for improvement, but as a ’27…..it’s all very impressive. She is a STAR.
Shelby Higgins just keeps doing Shelby Higgins things. All season long, she’s been a bucket at all three levels. She’s put up some monster outings as of late, and it seems she’s only getting more in rhythm as the post-season approaches. Higgins is averaging 19 points, but has put up as many as 27 recently. She’s shooting 39% from three.
Highlights
Weathers is doing what she always does…drops 19-20 a night. She’s a three level scorer that’s experienced a lot of high-level basketball. She’s been extremely consistent for Loretto this year, and has continued to prove her reputation correct as one of the best scoring guards in the state.
As Westview tries to three-peat, Alexander is the team’s leading scoring at over 16 points per game. To win a state championship, you need a player that can go get you a bucket when you need one, and Alexander is beginning to develop into that type of player. She’s played a ton of important minutes, she’s a state champ–now she’s looking to prove that she too is one of the best guards in the state.
Reed is averaging nearly 17 a game for a White County team that is simply looking dominant. Reed is perhaps the teams best overall player and scoring. She’s been a double-double machine all season, but for the sake of this exercise we are focusing on her scoring: she’s averaging 17 while facing constant doubles and digs….and is shooting 55% from the field. Reed is a have a beast of a season.
