These five players had the biggest gain in position from the last iteration of the rankings. It goes to show that if you continue to work hard, the scouts and coaches out there will take notice. Though the rankings are not the be-all and end-all of how good the players in the state of Oklahoma are, it is definitely a chance to recognize some of the best. These five players are definitely amongst the best in the state!
I’ve decided we should go in an order that starts with the player making the biggest jump up the rankings. Riki moved up thirty spots from the previous rankings, due in large part to her expanded role with a very good Sapulpa squad. The defending state champs have looked for someone to step in and help fill the void left by the inimitable Stailee Heard and Riki has provided some of the scoring that was lacking. She is a strong guard with a great dribble-drive. When faced with the inevitable double team, she does a great job finding the open player, making her a dangerous player in so many ways. A true three level scorer, McQuarters was a standout at the annual Tournament of Champions which is not an easy thing to do amongst so many great players.
Please allow me one pun in honor of my friend from Texas, Mr. Simmie Colson. Y’all should just call her Kelby Baller because this kid is a beast. Before being injured in last season’s championship game, Kelby had already put up the fifth highest point total in the 3A playoffs. Now, back and better than ever, it looks as if she and her Washington squad are on the way to the Big House yet again. Beller can score it in a plethora of ways and does a great job of feeling out the defense and finding the weakness to exploit. You give her an inch, she will get a bucket. A very smart player, she has moved up the rankings 24 positions and could easily be in the top-10 before all is said and done.
Johari is a player that I have had my eye on for a while and that gives me the chance to really take note of the improvement in her game. Her “wants it” factor was always there, but as she gets older, you can see the “wants it” merging with the “gets it” as she becomes a tremendous all-around prospect. A big, strong body down low, her footwork has improved tremendously in the post. At times, she is absolutely dominant on the boards and she is a huge difference maker for a very good team in Edmond North. With the inevitable playoff experience that comes with playing for Pete Papahronis, I expect her to develop even more over the next few years, which makes her definitely one to continue keeping an eye on!

At the AAU level, I have seen Kailee absolutely take over basketball games before. I have seen games where she can’t miss from behind the arc or when battling hard down low, which she does a lot with her almost six foot, muscular frame. Add in the fact that she has tremendous ball-handling skills and a high basketball IQ and anyone can see why this prospect shot up from No. 39 to No. 17. She is relentless when battling and goes hard all game long. Add in the fact that she has a generally cheery disposition and, I’ve been told, is very coachable, and you have one heck of a big time prospect!

Sadie is a do-it-all guard who has some killer handles. In the open court, she is absolutely deadly with a combination of speed and the ability to finish through contact that you just don’t see too often at this level. Over and over again I see on tape that she uses her speed and handles to make wary defenders give her space at the arc, only to use her quick release and rain down three’s on the opposing team. A tenacious defender, she really can do it on both ends of the court. A well-rounded athlete who is constantly working to improve, it’s no wonder that Franklin has jumped up 14 spots into the top-25 in the class of 2026!
