A high volume shotmaker from distance, Spellman is a knockdown shooter well beyond the arc. Possessing plenty of confidence on such shot attempts, she makes opponents close out way beyond the arc, further opening up those driving lanes. Improving as a facilitator with the ball, she is willing to make kickout passes following drives, active reading the help defense.

Chaney is a dependable two-way guard on one of the state’s top programs in Cherokee Trail, reaching the 6A final four last month. A capable shooter off the catch, she remains a threat even through an incoming contest. Following the closeout, her smooth handle makes her a dependable downhill scoring threat versus pressure. She can score with either hand at the basket, not fazed by the contest. Defensivley, she is a wiry defender who can wall of the lane against opposing playmakers.

An effective scoring guard, Slater takes what the defense gives her. Effective knocking down the open three, she leverages her gravity consistently versus opposing defenders. Patiently awaiting a potential block attempt along the perimeter, she takes advantage of weak closeouts for drives or pull-up jumpers within the arc. She brings in smooth footwork versus pressure, capable of pivots and step throughs versus pressure. Alongside her skill, Slater brings in a high motor on the glass, maximizing her opportunities on the glass despite being a backcourt position.

A proactive facilitator with the ball Budler, looks to get the team set up in the halfcourt first and foremost. A willing driver towards the rim, she leverages her low center of gravity to blow by opponents, quick to change speeds and explode downhill. Her impact taking away pressure from this group’s variety of shotmakers will be worth following next season, certainly capable of drawing in pressure.

Abdur-Razaaq is an effective defensive name, capable of matching up with both backcourt positions. A jack of all trades type of prospect in the backcourt, although the guard’s willingness to guard a wide variety of opponents has aided her success throughout this season with Overland.

Bringing in a fairly high volume through her second season, the guard has shown the ability to score the ball on all three levels.
