Avery Tanis Avery Tanis 5’9″ | SF Hidden Valley | 2025 State VA is a versatile and skilled player who can play three positions. She can handle the ball and is a great facilitator. She excels at attacking the rim and has many different ways of finishing. Avery guards multiple positions, and her versatility on the defensive end always impresses me. She was clutch at the Apache last weekend as well.
Highlights
Pulaski County big Emma Ritter Emma Ritter 6’0″ | PF Pulaski County | 2025 State VA is a player who could be a riser this summer. She is a great athlete and has great size. She is terrific defensively and is always disruptive. Emma’s biggest asset may be her defense, but I like what she brings on offense. She is a good jump shooter and plays her role well.
Liz Smith Liz Smith 5'9" | SF Salem | 2025 VA

What I love about this NRV Storm team is their effort on the defensive end and how everyone plays their role well. Liz Smith Liz Smith 5’9″ | SF Salem | 2025 VA is an excellent example of that. She is a great defender and plays hard. She is a disruptor who does the little things terrifically.
Hayziah Dillingham
Payton Dunbar Payton Dunbar 6’0″ | CG Jefferson Christian Academy | 2025 State VA just finished up a massive weekend at the Apache, where she showed why so many D1 schools are going after her. Payton can score from all over the court efficiently, and she is really tough to stop at her size. She has a great jump shot and gets great lift on it. She uses her frame and athletic ability to haul in rebounds. She is a solid defender and understands the game at a high level. Payton is one of the early standouts this AAU season and is a player to watch.
Highlights
Blair Jackson Blair Jackson 5’9″ | SG Fort Chiswell | 2025 State VA is a fantastic spot-up shooter. She has great length and does a good job putting the ball on the floor and getting to the rim. She is also a good athlete and an intelligent basketball player. Blair is another one of these tough players who does the dirty work when she needs to.
Sasha Brody Sasha Brody 5’8″ | CG VES | 2025 State VA is coming off a terrific season for Virginia Episcopal. Sasha is an excellent scorer and can create for herself at a high level. She knocks down tough threes and gets to the rim effectively. Sasha will pick players up full court and be a pest on defense. She is strong and an outstanding two-way player.
Sara Larios was a player I watched last year who caught my eye. She is a knockdown shooter and does it efficiently. She has a high IQ and is a great passer. Sara is a true PG and one of the better shooters you’ll see.
Maddie Caron Maddie Caron 6’0″ | PF Lord Botetourt HS | 2025 State VA is another player for this NRV Storm squad that was outstanding this weekend at Apache. Maddie has a great post-game and many moves to score in the paint. Maddie plays hard and is always a factor on the glass. She is active on the defensive end and is a walking double-double. Maddie has also improved as a jump shooter and is a threat to knock them down when given a chance. With Maddie’s improvement over the past year, she may be a riser this summer.
Moriah Tate Moriah Tate 5’7″ | PG Jefferson Forest | 2025 VA had an outstanding junior year for Jefferson Forest. She is quick and excels in transition. She is hard to stay in front of and is a matchup nightmare for opposing defenders. She has a good jump shot and gets it off quickly. She also competes on the defensive end, getting her hands in passing lanes.
