Put on a SHOW vs SE United. She looked saavy as can be. Never let the pressure get her…and looked like a D1 guard. You can tell she has a ton of experience using ball screens as she knows exactly when to use it and when to reject it. Was pulling 3s off the dribble, hitting teammates on backdoor cuts, and diving on the floor. She was doing EVERYTHING at a high level.
Her pull-up game is just different. So many kids are 2 level scores….threes or layups. Not many kids can actually get their midrange off vs a live defender, especially off the bounce. Hester can get hers off ANY TIME SHE WANTS.
Highlights
When Geno comes to watch you….you put on a show!
Golly bum she’s good when she doesn’t settle. They put her in lots of different spots to take advantage of how the D was playing her—she kept attacking from the corners, had some nice backdoor cuts.
Showed her passing potential with a backdoor dime to Gillies. Hurst went on a run where she had 3 assists in 4 plays, and a layup off the dribble.
Her passing ability really stood out, and is certainly something college coaches noticed. She was effective taking her defender off the bounce. She really is a 6’2 guard that can do everything on the floor.
When she does post up, she has great hands. Feels the double coming. Does a great job creating inside/out 3s.
There is a reason she is the top player in the state. Haylen Ayers is tremendous, but she doesn’t have the potential Hassell has as a two way player.
Showed the ability to knock down 3s. Attacked with her left hand with the finish. Nice anticipation on D. Carried them in the 1st half vs Dupree. Showed the entire bag scoring the ball from post ups, to floaters, to threes. Defensively wreaks havoc as a weakside shot blocker. She showed high level finishing ability off the bounce, with her back to the basketball, and in between with the floater.
A 6’1 ELITE athlete. Her Phoenix 2025 team was running back door lobs for her! When she got down hill to the rim, she had legit hang time. She is a special talent that can do stuff you rarely see female athletes do from an athleticism standpoint.
Highlights
Took the tip, but played on the perimeter. Super long and athletic. Has a D1 frame. Great length on D, creating turnovers. Knows how to finish in traffic off one or two feet. Given the assignment of guarding Lauren Hassell Lauren Hassell 6’2″ | PF Clarksville Christian | 2027 TN , and did as well as you can. Showed the ability to knocked down 3s at a high clip.
Just a super explosive athlete. Has a 2nd gear collapsing the paint, and makes the right reads on the pass/scoring opportunity. Really impressed with her ability to get the rim.
Knocked down a big three to tie it at 11. She changed the energy of the game off the bench. From the corner, pump fake one dribble pull up. Her and the freshman carried them at times.
She’s just so sneaky athletic….2nd half skyed for an offensive rebound and put back. Continued to put pressure on the rim….and know finishes at an elite level.

Elite on the ball defender. Nice 3 point stroke. High level PG. Knew exactly where the ball needed to go. Hit multiple 3s. Plays with a bounce to her game using hang dribbles and no-looks. HIGH LEVEL SHOOTER. Gets her mid-range off incredibly quick. Got hot in the 2nd half. She was the best player on the floor vs ETA Thunder ’25 Smith. Menacing defender…..disruptive.
6’2 size simply makes her different. Knows how to dribble into a Barkley, and then uses her advanced vision to create a scoring oppurtunity for herself or others. Nice high post passer. When defenders fell asleep she’d take the big off the bounce. Finished through contact. Can knock down the 3 ball. She’s legit! Cannot believe she’s a freshman playing vs ’25s.
