[player_tooltip player_id='835415' first='Presley' last='Zeutenhorst'] is going to have a chance to step onto the Varsity floor this Winter and make an impact with her Southeast Polk Rams team in a number of different ways. When I saw this group compete at the DCG Mustangs shootout a few weeks ago, it was evident that they were trying out some new offense's and figuring out how they were going to use their prospects throughout a contest. With their star PG, [player_tooltip player_id='311394' first='Alyssa' last='Bartlett'] returning for her Senior season, the other guards around her are going to have to produce once teams start to game plan against her and one of those guards will be Zeutenhorst. This program has 3-4 prospects out of the 2027 Class, who will be looked upon for a lot of production in the scoring department, as well as on the defensive side of the ball. As long as Presley stays motivated, she plays to her strengths, and she understands situational basketball, she could put up some eye opening numbers before the 2024-2025 season comes to a close.

[player_tooltip player_id='923921' first='Alisa' last='Pins'] is a "newer" prospect to this Update and she has been setting herself up for success this upcoming season. Pins has solid size for a SG at 5'9, she has a fundamental skill set on the offensive end with the ability to shoot and score at a better than average rate, and she is selfless enough to hit open teammates if she gets cut off or stopped in any form. This AAU season with her [program_tooltip program_id='712617' first='Lady' last='Pure Prep'] team, Pins has been someone that her team can turn to when they need a stop or an important bucket and I can't wait to see how she applies that to the Varsity floor this Winter. Norwalk is going to be a group to know this upcoming season with their 2028 Class coming in, the transfer of [player_tooltip player_id='432963' first='Grace' last='Linder'], and the returning of their leader - [player_tooltip player_id='311370' first='Bailey' last='Birmingham']. They are led by a coach that instills a positive culture wherever he goes and that is going to be a huge factor in their success in the long run this Winter season.

The State of Iowa really hasn't had a chance to see [player_tooltip player_id='642735' first='Aniyah' last='Boens'] compete yet but once they do, everyone will understand that she could be a top producer in the state, no matter her age or grade level. Boens has solid size at 5'10, she is physical and extremely athletic, and as a younger prospect she was a big time producer with her past AAU team. As long as she is used in the correct ways and she is working this off-season on becoming the best version of herself, she could shine these next three years on the Varsity floor for the Mustangs.

I'm not sure that [player_tooltip player_id='766454' first='Loralai' last='Gilmore'] is going to get a ton of Varsity playing time this upcoming Winter at Dowling Catholic when they most likely will only have a 7-man rotation but in due time, Gilmore should become someone that comes in to protect the rim on the defensive side for the Maroons. Gilmore stands as one of the taller prospects in the 2027 Class in the state of Iowa at 6'1, she has balance and coordination within her play style, and she understands what's going on around her at all times. The only thing that isn't ideal for her is that the prospect playing in front of her in [player_tooltip player_id='582813' first='Ellie' last='Muller'] is 6'3 and a future Power-5 Division 1 player but that shouldn't deter her efforts. As long as she can learn from Muller and she continues to be a play-maker on defense, she is going to see the floor before her high school career comes to close. She just needs to stay motivated as she patiently waits for her turn.

There is a lot to like about [player_tooltip player_id='834563' first='Hayden' last='McLaughlin'] and how hard she compete on the hardwood. McLaughlin is someone that opened up some eyes last season for her Freshman year at Algona High School and she is looking to build on that this upcoming season. This is someone that may not of grabbed a spot in our Top 25 just yet for the 2027 Class but it's coming. She has lengthy arms, quick feet, and she is always willing to help out a fellow teammate. When you pair that along with her natural instincts, you start to see the promise. With her [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] program this AAU season, she has been a constant and I don't expect that to change anytime soon.
