I learned about Casey recently, but there's plenty to like about what she does. She's an athletic physical wing who does her best work around the basket. She can finish over the top of just about anyone in the paint, and she's powerful enough to finish through contact. There's still plenty of room for her to grow as a player, but her size, athleticism, and power Casey plays with is an excellent foundation to build from. She's not from a traditional power or area of the state most people are from, so she's an under-the-radar kid.

At the state tournament, [player_tooltip player_id='914523' first='Ashley' last='Rowe'] was one of the kids who surprised me the most. I'd only seen a few streams of Cuba City games because they're about two hours from where I live and dominate Southwest Wisconsin. Rowe was a solid off-ball guard that made plays on both ends of the floor. The Cubans had a nine-player roster at the state tournament in any division but had a group they trusted to make plays, and Rowe is one of the key figures in the program. She's a player small schools will like.

Playing a role on a competitive team in the FVA isn't easy, but Busch was a prominent player for the Lightning, who finished in the top half of the standings for the first time in a few seasons. Busch was a solid off-ball guard for Appleton North and was a threat to shoot whenever she stepped on the floor. I also think her ability to defend on the perimeter is a trait that small schools will like when they focus on the 2026 recruiting class. Her ability to compliment high-usage offensive players will be something that helps her stand out and help her team win games.

I liked Kalumbula's athleticism when I first saw her play in a JV game a few years ago. The tools are there for her to be a player who can swing games on the defensive end, and it always has been. However, I've liked how she's developed on the offensive end of the floor. The 5'9 wing looks comfortable operating on the perimeter, and her shot has come a long way since I first saw her play. I'm unsure where her ceiling is, but she's talented enough to play at the next level.
