Dynasty Region Finals Sunday 16u Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>My Sunday started off at 8am watching a young lady score 31 points in 2024 Dynasty Region Finals. I have listed 8 players that caught my eye for many reasons. Leadership, hustle, scoring, defense or just plan out hustling in between the lines making things happen. The competition got heated and competitive as we headed into bracket play on Sunday. An excellent shooter from outside with deep range that you have to respect. Once the defender stepped out she used her quickness to go by attacking the rim. Great ball handling allowed splitting the press and push the tempo with vision finding open teammates in transition. Impressive was the step back with separation for the knock down 3. It was smooth and looked effortless meaning she probably has done out over and over. Lockdown defense in the full court pressure cause major havoc for the opposing teams. Great basketball instinct on defense led to many steals which converted to easy scores for her team. Erynn has crazy hops for a guard on her finishes. Some times you have that game which makes people take notice that have never seen you before. Myself that was Sunday 8am when Erynn dropped 31 points. On the outside she does an excellent job at creating space to get off an effective 3 point shot. When attacking the rim she can go right at you or finish with a nice spin move. The matchup problem for the other team was when she went in to small forward mode. Great footwork in the low post with the up and under move. Effective 3 point shooter knocking down 5 in one game I watched. An array of ball handling moves to change speed and direction against pressure defense. Never seemed to be hurried when being pressure always in control. Great vision that sees things before they happen. A dynamic player that scores at a high rate with back to basket but just highly effective facing the basket. Handles the ball great against pressure using her high and eyes finding an open teammate. Nice mid range game from the corners and high post area but showed that she can step out and knock down the 3. Defensively does a great job of breaking down and long not giving up any middle drives. Opposing teams attacking the paint came to a stop knowing that she was rotating over to block the shot. Great hands on offense grabbing some tough lob passes. Exceled in the pick and roll game for team. Patient waiting for the defense to commit to the ball handling then slipping towards the basket. A player you must box out cause she will go crash the offensive glass. Nice crossover being patient waiting for the defense to relax to make her move. A guard that can get a rebound and needing no outlet start her own fast break. Strong finishes meaning that when she pulls up for the funning layup she can smoothly finish with either hand. In transition showed a very under controlled not rush pull up jump shot at the free throw line. Excellent job of getting the outlet and pushing the tempo as far as possible then wheeling out to set up the offense. Not sure people truly realize but a lefty point that used the right to set up the left hand to attack. Catch and shoot player from the outside knocking down several 3's. A good shooter off the dribble waiting for the ball defender to relax.
