Summer Rankings Update: 2026 SGs

For anyone who pays attention, it has been a strong class for some time, but now it has a chance to rival the 2016 class that included <strong>Jackie Young</strong>, <strong>Tyasha Harris</strong>, <strong>Lindsey Corsaro</strong>, and other talented ladies. 2026 is not only a talented class, but it is also a very deep class. Below is a "<em>FAST FIVE</em>" look at some quick notes on the shooting guard group in 2026, followed by the positional rankings for the ladies located in our new Top-75 overall for 2026.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>- Jennings County's <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='486508' first='Mollie' last='Ernstes']</strong> is maintaining an upward trajectory, and she continues to be a reason for Division-I programs to visit North Vernon, following the graduation of <strong>Julian Woodard</strong>. Mollie has grown into a complete player who can handle it a little, rebound her position, and defend multiple types of players, all while being one of the best knock-down shooters in the 2026 class. She is very talented and likely still under-recruited.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>- This Spring has been huge for <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='492317' first='Keadriah' last='Butler']</strong>, as she has proven she is one of the best drivers in the 2026 class. With her length, athleticism, and developing strength, she's able to "slither" by, explode by, and/or absorb the contact of defenders to get to the basket. As she continues to build her skill to be a consistent multilevel scorer, she could be scary good offensively, because defenders must always respect the explosive first step.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>- A real problem up in Northwest Indiana, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='486528' first='Laniah' last='Davis']</strong> of Marquette Catholic is a high-level scorer who can get to the basket and finish. She has power and vertical explosiveness, so she's able to elevate above taller, longer defenders to get her shot away, plus she is an excellent offensive rebounder. Whether it's from the mid-range or at the rim, she's very good, so as she adds that perimeter jumper to her repertoire, opponents beware.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>- If there has always been a trait that stands out about <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='486559' first='Maryrose' last='Felling']</strong>, it's that she is a lethal perimeter shooter. Now that she has spent the last couple of years in a high school program getting stronger, her ability to get rhythm and balance makes her jumper that much more deadly. Not only does she have touch, but she has range as well, and she's spending more and more time handling the ball and initiating the offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>- With the departure of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='486542' first='Alonna' last='Divine']</strong> to rival Pike, plus the graduation of a couple of 2024s, Ben Davis guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='772792' first='Aubri' last='Ingram']</strong> could very well be in position to make a major leap this coming season. She has the length and athleticism to be a playmaker at the Class 4A level, plus she can create offense off the bounce.
