, was a standout in Pike’s run to regionals. Doing it all on both ends of the floor, Alonna showed why she’s a Division 1 talent last weekend. Overall, great performances from her in both games. She looked comfortable getting to the bucket, made several 3s, and most importantly, played good defense.

Detroit Mercy is set to add a dynamic talent to their program next season, and she is already proving her impact during her senior high school season. She competes at a high level against any opponent, showing poise, confidence, and versatility on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she finished the night with 14 points, including a buzzer-beater that lit up the gym, demonstrating her ability to perform in clutch moments.
Defensively, she applies consistent pressure on the ball, contests shots, and uses her athleticism to disrupt passing lanes, helping her team generate extra possessions. She also shows strong court vision, finding teammates in scoring positions and making smart decisions under pressure. Her combination of scoring, playmaking, defensive impact, and leadership makes her a player to watch and a key addition to Detroit Mercy’s future success.

has been a standout guard for Pike, playing a pivotal role in the program’s success last season. She averaged 11 points per game while leading the Red Devils to a semistate appearance, finishing just one win shy of the State Finals. Offensively, Divine is a versatile scorer who excels both in the half court and in transition. She has a reliable shooting stroke and uses her quickness to attack the rim, where she consistently draws contact and gets to the free-throw line. Beyond her scoring, she does an excellent job of pushing the ball in transition, creating scoring chances for herself and her teammates. The Detroit Mercy commit brings toughness, pace, and experience to the floor, and her leadership will be crucial as Pike looks to build on its deep postseason run. Divine’s ability to control tempo and score in multiple ways makes her one of the key guards to watch this season.

I felt like in what I saw of Pike on Saturday, Alonna really stood out and looked like she was ready for that moment. She was extremely active, involved at both ends of the floor, and constantly made plays for the Red Devils. She is so long, smooth/fluid athletically, and she does a little of everything well. She was finding open teammates, getting to the basket herself, and she was effective defensively. She even blocked a big shot late and pulled down a couple of key rebounds in their loss to Lawrence North.
