PGH KY Freshman Showcase: Impactful Post Play

There are not many true post players in this class but I managed to come up with 6 players from the Kentucky Freshman Showcase that made an impact in the post in the games that I watched them play.    Koko put in work in the post! When it comes to rebounding she is relentless and just flat out wants it more! She puts the "E" in effort and her footwork on the low the block is picture perfect! Koko can score with her back to the basket as well as faceup and take her defender off the dribble. Let me not forget about her ability to step-out and knock down mid-range jumpers! (Featured Image)     Maci was UNSTOPPABLE in the post. She is a legit 6'4 center that has no problem getting up and down the floor! I was truly in awe of her size and skill. She showed soft hands when receiving the entry pass and was automatic scoring at the rim. Maci did a good job keeping the ball high and used her size and strength to gain ideal position for rebounds on both ends.     Jooniper has a very versatile game! She is a excellent finisher around the rim and moves well with and without the ball. Jooniper caught me by surprise with her 3-point shooting but once the shot went in I could tell it was something she does on the regular. I really like how she impacts the game from the inside-out!     If I could describe [player_tooltip player_id='965789' first='Brenley' last='Adler']'s game in one word it would be "Unique". She has a one of one skill set and the instincts she displayed on the floor is just something you can't teach. Brenley has a uncanny ability to rebound the basketball. She pin-points exactly where the ball will come up off and she goes and grabs it! There is nothing like a player that provides second chance scoring opportunities and Brenley does just that! She scores at a high percentage at the rim and has a nice shooting touch from perimeter as well.     Harper is such a hard-worker and she hustled the whole game! This is not much of a basketball term but "Blue-Collar" is what comes to mind when I think about [player_tooltip player_id='967961' first='Harper' last='Thauberger']. She has good size and long arms that she used to block a ton of shots. She can rim run like no other and she made a living at the free throw line.     Kaylynn is a powerful post player that can bang down low with the best of them. She is a strong finisher inside and her rebound put-back game is top-notch! Kaylynn also runs the floor well, is very skilled, and has a good feel for the game. The future is bright for Knox Central!
