Be sure to review parts one and two. I saw a large number of 2026s over the summer, making shaping the team hard to do. Enjoy this third part of my summer all-Kansas 2026 team, power forwards and centers.

[player_tooltip player_id='621237' first='Justine' last='Berlin'], 6'1", PF, Clearwater - I enjoyed my opportunities to watch Berlin throughout the summer. Long known for her speed, perimeter shooting and athleticism Berlin's power game growth was enjoyable to watch. Using her hops and scoring ability from her face-up and back-to-basket game Berlin has developed into one of most diversely skilled players in class 4A.

[player_tooltip player_id='544017' first='Shamari' last='Lewis'], 6'0", PF, Liberal - I had the opportunity to catch Lewis guesting with [program_tooltip program_id='715500' first='Magic' last='Basketball'] near the end of the summer season. She was an absolute force that had many in attendance asking me who she was. One of the top power forwards in the state that most people have not heard is who. Lengthy and athletic with good size Lewis has a strong all-around offensive game. She also is a physical, sit-down defender with quickness to defend on the perimeter and inside with equal zeal. Among the state's prolific rebounders, especially offensive, her game was on full display. Including her formidability as a scorer with speed and elevation in transition and working from the mid-range face-up or back-to-basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='773202' first='Emily' last='O'Brien'], 5'9", PF, Remington - O'Brien is a developing power forward who continues to grow into her growth. She has added a lot of inches in her height and wingspan. How she used them this summer was enjoyable to watch. Using her quickness, ranginess and smarts I witnessed a instance where three times straight she swatted away inbounds passes. That same ability showed up in deflections and shot blocks as well. She hustled, showed terrific speed and quickness at the top of full court pressure. O'Brien also showed physicality going after offensive rebounds and working on both sides of the ball inside. I really liked how well she scored through contact and stepped out to bury the three ball in flow. For Remington avoid continuing their streak of 2A sub-state final eliminations O'Brien will need to have a big season. I see it coming.

Life Prep Academy. 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='649150' first='Amelia' last='Bootsma'].

[player_tooltip player_id='649150' first='Amelia' last='Bootsma'], 6'2", C, The Independent School - After sitting out the past season and a half after transferring from Wichita North Bootsma will take the floor for the defending 2A state champs as one of the classification's top center. Very long, active and fast Bootsma showed terrific quickness protecting the basket and defending all over the mid-range area. Her abilities defending in the back court were strong as was her quick scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id='544010' first='Deena' last='Holmes'], 6'2", C, Life Prep Academy - Holmes raised her stock substantially early on this summer, quickly attracting many college coaches. She always had great footwork, sticky hands and standout shot blocking abilities. This summer she showed her rising post game and scoring with put-backs. Holmes has legitimate size and length. She also runs well. A high ceiling player who won a state 2A championship at The Independent School in 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='621264' first='Madelyn' last='Wilson'], 6'2", C, Chase County - There is a lot to like about Wilson's game and it all starts with her solid size, quickness and speed. Active on both ends of the floor she scores fluidly and with a quick release off the catch while working inside and on the move. She also is a physical defender and a force on the boards who gets down the floor in transition. On the border of 2A, as the team was in 2024, and 1A Division I the Bulldogs will be one to watch. One of the strongest bigs in the classification will be a driving force for them in the 2025 season.
