[player_tooltip player_id='443366' first='Justice' last='Brown-Jones'] already has the size as a guard to play at the next level. She is a fantastic two-way player and she uses her length on defense very well. The length and instincts she possesses help her guard multiple possessions. When Norfolk Christian pressed or double-team ball handlers, Justice was able to get a lot of steals. Even when they sat in a zone in halfcourt settings, Justice's length and ability to move caused teams many problems. She is also a pretty good rebounder.

When [player_tooltip player_id='579891' first='Demi' last='Gilliam'] transferred to PVI after her freshmen season, I knew it was a perfect fit because of what she brings on the defensive side of the ball. Demi is active, athletic, and has fantastic length. Demi is an outstanding interior defender, and it's where she does her best work defensively. With her ability to move, Demi can guard wings well, and I think that is who she may end up guarding at the next level. She is a good rebounder as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='304787' first='Rayne' last='Wright'] is versatile on both ends of the floor, and she is one of the best two-way guards in the state. Rayne can guard wings and guards, and down the stretch of Manchester's state championship-winning campaign, Rayne locked down many opposing players. Rayne's length and athleticism are huge reasons she is an elite defender. She is one of the best on-ball defenders on this list and will be a great defender at the next level.

Robinson is a great defensive team, and they play good defenders all over the court. With that being said, [player_tooltip player_id='389125' first='Georgia' last='Simonsen'] is the anchor and is everywhere defensively. Georgia is a great one-on-one defender in the post. She walls up well and uses her size to block shots. Georgia is an outstanding help defender, rotating over and blocking shots. A lot of what Robinson does defensively is with a zone, and Georgia excels in it. Her ability to challenge jump shooters and consistently get her hand on perimeter player jump shots is elite. She doesn't have to guard perimeter players one-on-one often, but she has the lateral movement and length to do it well.

[player_tooltip player_id='443350' first='Micah' last='Ojo'] would be one of the premier talents in the country if you talked about her offense alone. When you factor in what she does on the defensive end, it puts her in a special place. Micah's length and athleticism as a wing allow her to guard almost anyone on the court. She has elite instincts, and she racks up steals and blocks. Any lazy pass around her is a steal, and she is the type of defensive playmaker coaches look for. She averaged over 5 blocks and 5 assists for Princess Anne last year, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a defensive playmaker better than her.

[player_tooltip player_id='304784' first='Kaliya' last='Perry'] is another rangy wing/forward who can guard multiple positions. Kaliya is a great shot blocker and an active defender all over the court. She is terrific at rotating over and swatting shots, and she can guard 3 or 4 positions on the court. Kaliya can play as a 5 right now, and at the next level, I see being successful as a 3 or 4. Her ability to protect the rim is the best of anyone on this list. She is 6 foot but plays a lot bigger because of length. Kaliya may not be super versatile on defense right now, but you see her ability to guard other positions not at the rim/paint. She has terrific instincts and will be an elite off-ball defender.

There may not be a person on this list who looks like they enjoy playing defense more than Tristan Rickenbacker. Tristan is a tenacious defender who can cover multiple positions. She does well staying in front of guards, and she is good at rotating over to block shots in the paint. Tristan is a great defender on the ball and off the ball. She has active hands as well and is always hustling. Tristan has the three things that make someone a great defender. She has the size, and athleticism, and most importantly, puts in the effort.
