Reps on Reps Standouts: The Fast Break Finale

In this article we hilight some familiar prospects and some who are not so familiar. Seeing her run the floor at 6'2 was a little intimidating for her peers. McCreary showed some nice moves on the blocks, but it was her defense that took centerstage. She blocked a few shots and changed a few more. Seeing her battle against Ed White's [player_tooltip player_id='746624' first='Leandrea' last='McCloud'] was a treat to watch. Johnson defends, rebounds and is always a ball of energy on the floor. She can cover bigs on the inside and she can also get out on the wings and defend guards and wing players. Offensively, Johnson loves to attack the rim. At the showcase, she showed her handling skills and looked like a point guard at times. Last season, Johnson spearheaded a great season by Atlantic Coast ( District Champions and Gateway Runner-up). Iturralde stands out on the defensive end with her ability to press up on the ball and get steals. She does have the ability to get to the rim. She had some quick moves to the rim and made some nice passes after drawing the double team. Iturralde makes plays as a shooter, scorer, and as a passer. Scibelli was hitting back-door cutters with some nice passes. She executed a give and go with a dime pass to her teammate and brought the house down. Scibelli does a lot of little things on the court. She does a good job of handling the ball and has the ability to knife through the defense with her ball handling skills. The aggressive Trusel also makes plays for her teammates. She does a good job of dishing to her teammates when she draws the double team. She plays a tough "in your face' defense and comes up with a lot of steals. Known for her three point shooting, Carter showcased some crafty ball handling and got to the rim several time. The young guard also showed her ability to attck the rim and dish to the open teammate. Carter's ability to knock down the three has opened up her game. McCoy is a physical presencve on both ends of the court, and especially on the blocks. McCoy showed some versatilty by stepping out on the perimeter and pulling up for a nice left hand jumper. The power forward also did a good job of running the floor in transition. Berry has worked on her does a good job of setting up her shots and delivering when the opportunity presents itself. Berry has a nice release and shoots the ball with great confidence.
