Unearthing Unranked Rebounders In Kansas

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After a long week on the road scouting volleyball and football, I spent part of my Saturday afternoon doing one of my favorite things, taking a deep internet dive to mine some unranked Kansas talents.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I decided to focus on my favorite variable in basketball the ability to rebound.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is a look at five unranked talents who had solid seasons cleaning the glass for their respective prep teams.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1042548' first='Ria' last='Harbin']</strong>, 5'11”, SF,  Wyandotte, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harbin is a long and physical forward for the Wyandotte Bulldogs. According to her public stats she grabbed 7.1 rebounds in 14 games played as a junior. She scored 5.8 points per contest and is a pitcher on the Wyandotte softball team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1042550' first='Kinsley' last='Boss']</strong>, 5'11”, SF, &nbsp;Labette County, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Boss plays basketball and volleyball for Labette County. She can be a factor in the paint on the court and at the net in a volleyball match. She averaged 5.6 rebounds per game for the Grizzlies as a junior. She did not shoot much for Labette County but did convert on 45 percent of her shots from the field.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1042539' first='Lani' last='Speer']</strong>, 5'11”, F, Dighton, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A class of 2026 prospect who has yet to crack the PGH rankings is Dighton's Speer. She grabbed 8.3 rebounds per game in 23 contests. The Dighton Hornet also filled up her stat sheet with a scoring average of 9.6 points per game and 3.6 blocked shots per contest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1042543' first='Trista' last='Latham']</strong>, 5'8”, SG, Triplains/Brewster, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Latham was last featured in mid-January after she got off to a hot start rebounding the ball for the Titans. She would go on to average 7.7 rebounds per game in 19 games. During her sophomore season, she also scored an average of 5.7 points per contest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1042546' first='Caylie' last='Lyle']</strong>, 5'5”, PG, Natoma, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lyle grabbed 6.7 rebounds per game for the Natoma Tigers as a sophomore. She is a speedster who gets to rebounds by outhustling other guards and getting to loose balls. Lyle scored 6.7 points per game and has already seen playing time in 38 varsity games with two seasons left to play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
