Simpson College secured another in state commitment out of CG, MaKenzie Hughes out of Akron - Westfield High School a couple of weeks ago. The Storm have done a thorough job of grabbing several prospects out of their home state and this is a perfect example. If you are from Iowa, can produce at a steady rate on the Varsity floor, and have interest to compete at the next level, then I'm sure the Storm will be in touch. As for Hughes as an individual, she is well rounded as a whole prospect. She definitely thrives in some categories more than others but at the next level, I would assume her production to stay consistent once she finds her way on the the hardwood.

[player_tooltip player_id='595151' first='Rowan' last='Jacobi'] of Springville High School is our latest prospect to commit out of the state of Iowa to the D1 level and I'm excited to see what her future holds with the Coyotes once she gets there. Jacobi is considered a 6'2 Forward, with the mixture of coordination, touch, and savvy-ness to make a difference on any court that she is competing on. For her next two years, the Coyotes will be in touch, visiting Jacobi on the regular in Iowa. This upcoming Winter, she will compete to her fullest ability and as long as her coaching staff can put her in favorable positions, then she should continue to yield in positive results on a consistent basis.

Kelli Stork of ADM High School has been a hot commodity out of the 2025 Class these past few months as she searched for her future home and she has finally found it in the form of Benedictine College out of Illinois. Storck competes at the Forward position with her natural size at 6'0 and she has a soft touch on the basketball. When you pair that along with her knowledge of the game and agile movement with her size, you start to see the promise and that promise has put up memorable numbers over her three Varsity seasons. For her Senior year she will look to build on everything she has ever set into place at ADM. If she stays motivated after this commitment, I'm sure she will average some of the best numbers throughout the state of Iowa before you know it this next few months.

I mentioned as early as last week that [player_tooltip player_id='674217' first='Josie' last='Kuper'] of AGWSR High School was a solid collegiate player, that could definitely bring some positives to the floor in the future and not even a week later she committed to Simpson College. I started this article saying that Simpson is swooping up recruits out of Iowa, left and right, this being another great example. Kuper might not be a Day 1 starter when she gets on campus but she is going to be able to grow her game and take it to another level with four more years of training on the correct things. When she looks back to her Basketball journey, she should be proud of where it has taken her. She kept her eyes on the prize and it's all worked out because of it.

[player_tooltip player_id='837358' first='Natalie' last='Ramsey'] of IC - Liberty High School has been a consistent stock-risers throughout the state of Iowa for the past couple of years now, but she really took the state by these past six months on the AAU scene and because of this, she is now committed to The South Dakota Coyotes following her Senior season. Ramsey has two years of Varsity ball left and she is going to be a force to be reckoned with. She demonstrated this Summer that she is an able scorer, willing passer, positive influence to those around her, and she has great understanding of what is going on around her at all times. Like everyone, she will have to find her niche within her college program once she gets there but I'm sure that won't be a problem with her work-ethic and drive.
