Emersen earned All-Event honors at our Freshman Showcase in August and she put those qualities on full display again at the Compound on Sunday. Spectators were surprised to learn that Emersen was a 2028 because her fundamentals and athletic presence look well beyond her years. Emersen ripped the nets from 3-point range, burying four triples in the first game. She creates separation with quick combo dribbles and jabs to score or create open shots for teammates. One of her best moves was a crossover jab dribble drive-by from up top to score a contested floater in the paint. Emersen used a pocket dribble to throw an accurate one-handed entry pass and led the way with 23 points for Regina in the semifinals. Emersen will be an All-Catholic League caliber player this winter as a freshman.

Sami has consistently stepped up to make an impact for Regina on both ends of the court at the Compound Fall League and Sunday was no exception. She knocked down a mid-range pull-up jumper, scored a layup, and finished off two in the paint. Sami swiped the ball away multiple times and scored a breakaway left-handed layup. She drilled a wing 3 and used effective pivots to kick out passes from the paint to perimeter shooters. Sami looks ready for a breakout season this winter.

She secured multiple rebounds, pushed the ball in transition with her dribble, and converted several shots in the paint for her team. Natalya earned MVP honors in the final game with 12 points.

Leah is a versatile guard/wing who contributed greatly to Eisenhower's success at the Compound on Sunday. She beat defenders off the dribble to score a layup then stole the ball away to add another one. Leah caused a jump ball on defense and scored an offensive rebound putback off two feet. Leah showed her perimeter range by sinking a wing 3 and then knocked down her free throw at the charity stripe. She threaded a pass on a rope through defenders for an assist, blocked a shot, and created turnovers with her ball pressure. Leah's length and quick burst make her an exciting 2028 prospect to follow this winter.

Mackenzie brought her competitive spirit to the Compound on Sunday and her contributions on both ends helped Eisenhower take home the title trophy. Mackenzie used a smooth spin dribble to score a contested floater off two and converted a drop step off two in the paint. Her relentless effort led to several offensive rebounds and steals. Mackenzie drilled a wing 3 and caused fouls by driving hard to the basket. She used a high-rip move to convert a step-through layup and knocked down a crucial free throw. Mackenzie will be an exciting player to follow this winter at Eisenhower.

Janielle played with determination on both sides of the ball and her efforts helped Eisenhower win a fall league title at the Compound on Sunday. Janielle wrestled the ball out of her opponent's hands twice on defense, used a jab step to create separation with her dribble, and buried an impressive step-back 3-pointer. Janielle crashed the boards hard to secure offensive rebounds, converted shots off two feet around the rim, and hit important free throws after causing fouls by driving hard to the basket. Janielle's passionate play was vital to the team's success on Sunday and she will be an impact player for Eisenhower this winter.
