The situation as Scottsbluff is an interesting one as we walk into the 2024-2025 high school season and that's because of the prospects they brought in, along with who they already had on the roster. One of those prospects coming from another school being PG/SG - [player_tooltip player_id='758825' first='Addy' last='Bowlin']. Bowlin is a player that can play the 1, 2, or 3 spot for her team at any given moment. With the squad she will have around her, I think she will play the 3 a majority of the time. It'll be either the 2 or the 3, depending on their team strategy. Either way, Bowlin is going to do her best to make the most of her opportunities. She will be in this Scottsbluff program for a few years, along with their other talent prospects for the most part so as long as they set a foundation in place this Winter, then the next will be even better.

Coming off of a season with a 19-2 record and Yutan High School has basically lost most of their roster that produced a year ago. One of their biggest losses being SG - [player_tooltip player_id='777585' first='Jade' last='Lewis'] to Millard West. Lewis has shown up over the past year as a top end recruit because of the production she brings to the floor. Now that she has joined up with a team that only lost one game last year on their way to a State Title, I'm sure that she is going to look even better this season. From my understanding, she will start the high school season competing at the JV level because of the transfer cut-off but that's okay. I've said it for years now. Lewis is a collegiate level prospect and that's going to be evident this season when she steps into a vital role at Millard West by the end of the year.

I'm pretty sure we have briefly touched on this during the start of Summer but one of the biggest transfer on the year comes to us in the form of [player_tooltip player_id='1045012' first='Kaytee' last='Irons'] going to Lincoln Southwest High School. Irons is a top recruit out of her 2027 Class but this Winter she is going to have to really prove that. Lincoln Southwest losses their main producer from the past few years and they are going to be looking to Irons to produce in different ways. Last year as a Freshman, she helped lead her team to the State Tournament but this time around it will be tougher. She is going to have to produce in every facet of the game and I'm excited to see that first hand over these next few months.

Another individual that has moved over to Scottsbluff for this upcoming season is PG - [player_tooltip player_id='766759' first='Kinzley' last='Hess']. Hess is the reason that I think [player_tooltip player_id='758825' first='Addy' last='Bowlin'] with play the 2 or 3 position because she is going to come in handle the PG role. Hess is someone that has compete out of Colorado and Wyoming for AAU the past few seasons, doing the best she can at showing her worth to anyone coming to watch. This high school season, a lot will ride on Hess and her leadership. This is a skilled prospect but she has to lead by example if she wants to have a solid season with this group. That means taking the blame for things even though it isn't her fault, leading from the front with her actions, and showing everyone that no matter what happens - they are going to be alright in the end if they have each other and stay positive. If everyone can buy into that, then watch out cause Scottsbluff will be a team to see this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='820515' first='McKenna' last='Powell'] is an able and willing shooter from deep, a solid competitor from the Wing position, and someone that won't take any plays off on the defensive side of the ball. This is all very interesting because of Powell's move to Lincoln North Star High School this season. The previous two years Powell competed at Malcolm High School but now she is ready to show out LNS. It's going to be interesting how Powell fits into the bunch as they return most of their roster a year ago. She is someone that doesn't need the ball for long periods of time to produce and that aspect plays into her favor coming into a new system. If she can find her niche early-on and she is put in positions to play to her strengths, then she could be a valuable asset over the next two years.
