Coach Mains and staff have created a solid foundation that has solidified them as a perennial program in the DII division. This ball club plays tenacious defense, has a solid inside/out scoring game, and competes from jump to the final horn. The Knox Catholic program has had some solid student athletes come in and compete over the years( one being coach's daughter Sydney Mains). The Fighting Lady Irish are in good position to get back to the championship game and continue their dominance in the DII classification.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Each year it seems that a new crop of talent pops into their radar. They could be transfer kids, solid incoming freshmen, whatever they may be, they fit the system the Lady Irish run and supplement by providing immediate production, quality depth, and stability for years to come. The proof is in the pudding of what this program can accomplish and kids want to be a part of such success. With multiple options and girls who come ready to play with their hard hats, this program is a force to be reckoned with and is a tough outing each and every matchup. With multiple returning starters and kids who saw significant minutes early last year, look for Knox Catholic to make another deep run towards state contention.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This ball club are heavy favorite to run it back. They are battle tested, experienced, hard working individuals who operate as a unit. This squad does the little things right and when they are clicking, they are tough to beat. Talk about a ball club that can dominate on both ends, this team can do that and then some. They may not have a Miss Tennessee favorite on their roster, but have plenty of excellent scoring options that will factor into plenty of Ws for them this year. Collectively, this group is solid all around. With their ability to protect the interior and create havoc from multiple spots, this club is a dangerous team to play against. She contributes on the boards, boxing out, going hard after the rebound. She runs the floor well and makes the right decisions with the ball. High IQ player who knows when to pick her spots to exploit. A solid scoring option who also gets after it on the defensive end.
