In this article, we look at the performance of the players on team 2 at the Florida Expo. This team had a great mixture of inside and outside scoring. They had a boss in the middle, a super athletic forward, a sniper on the outside, a true point guard, and various talented guards on the outside.

Trusel was one of the top guards in the building and she was a standout for sure (Top 10). Trusel did a little of everything and one way to gauge her is how she played against the top talent in the building. She ripped one of the best handlers and made the short J against one of the top defenders in the building. She was steady all day with good ball handling in both hands. She got to the rim going left and right, and her midrange jumper was sweet. Trusel played well in all areas and was a standout.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039021' first='Charlize' last='Coats'] played well at the Expo. Coats showed a great understanding of ball movement and spacing. She shot the three-point shot well and also got to the rim with her lightning-quick first step. She was crafty with the take to the basket, using it to get to the free-throw line. If you put Coats in an offense as the primary handler and utilize her accurate shooting, speed, and passing abilities - she is a problem.

[player_tooltip player_id='346885' first='Mikayla' last='Paschal'] was probably the only 1,000-point player in the building. At the Expo, Paschal was on the attack as usual and scored the ball in a variety of ways. Playing 3 x 3, Paschal had to mix it up a little on the inside. She did well against some of the most talented 4s in the 2028, 2025, and 2026 classes. Her ability to play on the outside on offense gave her the advantage against players not accustomed to sliding their feet and moving laterally on the perimeter. It showed how versatile she was and it gave us the big picture and insight into how she achieved the 1000th point mark before the end of her Junior season. At the Expo, she shot some threes, scored in the midrange, attacked the basket, showcased her ball handling, and got a little physical on the inside. Just another day at the “office.”

[player_tooltip player_id='743520' first='Kimora' last='Green'] was one of the most athletic players on the court. Her vertical jump was evident on rebounds, and she was amongst the leaders in offensive rebounds and putbacks at the Expo. Green has that quick-twitch body movement that elite athletes have. She is that work-horse player on the floor who just does what it takes to win. She showed she could score the ball as she knocked down several threes, ran the break beautifully, and scored in transition. With her athleticism, the closer she was to the rim the more physical and dangerous she became. Her diving for loose balls at an Expo tells you all you need to know. She played well and left her mark on the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='638571' first='Aaliyah' last='Grant'], I am a fan! The body blows that Grant dished out were fierce. Her ability to initiate contact and throw a defender off balance and score was brilliant. Grant's hands were amazing. The majority of time, any pass thrown in her vicinity was caught and converted into a bucket. Grant's footwork was very good and she used it to dance all over the opposition. Defensively, Grant was just as effective and imposing. Other things that jumped off the page were her athleticism, leadership, and confidence. Grant was dominant and elite. She might be the biggest kept secret in the State.

[player_tooltip player_id='249434' first='Meralis' last='Garcia'] showed a thing or two at the Expo. She rebounded the ball well and was very impressive at initiating the break after grabbing the rebound. Garcia showed some great court vision, dishing several dimes to her teammates on the wings. She also was the recipient of a few fast-break passes. On one play, she caught a pass at half-court, dribbled with the left with a defender all over her, and converted the left-hand layup. On offense, Garcia showed she could get to the rim and finish with the left or the right hand. Garcia's defensive IQ was really impressive. She played great help-side defense and did a great job of communicating with teammates. Garcia did a lot of things well- nothing flashy, but extremely solid and dependable. She is the player you want on the floor when the game is on the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='514572' first='Laila' last='Allen'] played well at the Expo and proved that she is one of the premiere guards in the State. Allen was one of the quickest point guards at the event and consistently got to the rim for buckets. She converted the easy ones and went deep into the layup package to convert over-eager defenders who were legitimate shot blockers. Allen handled the ball well, ran the show, and got her teammates into the game. There was no doubt who was running the show at the point. Allen also shot the ball well from behind the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039020' first='Camryn' last='Smith'] made it clear that she was a three-point specialist. She found her spot and let it fly all day long. There were several high school coaches who had seen her go for 6 or 7 threes before in a game and just deflate the opponent. Her release was smooth, and all her shots were online. She moved the ball and showed a high basketball IQ. She knows how to use a quick pass to get open and get the pass back for the shot. Her spacing on the floor was good, and she showed a lot of basketball IQ with her use of space and ball movement. Smith showed some other skills in addition to shooting. She rebounded well throughout the evening, pushed the ball up the floor, ran the point, and initiated the offense.
