Week One: Big-Time Freshman Talent - Part 1

In this article, we hilight Freshman ballers who have already put up some hefty stats, played with poise, displayed decision making skills, or just showed basketball abilities beyond their years. Crawford has a high basketball IQ and stands out when watching her play. She has great instincts and anticipation. This past week the young Crawford posted a 32 point effort.(verify the points). Crawford is one of the top young players in the State of Florida.       [player_tooltip player_id='1224231' first='Joba' last='Oyedeji'] was one of many Freshman standouts for the first week of high school play. She was virtually unstoppable in the game I watched online. She plays a physical game and it will take a defender with great size and strength to defend her on the inside. Oyedeji was impressive from the perimeter and also in transition. She led the break and handled the ball like a guard. The Freshman power forward is an elite player.       [player_tooltip player_id='880384' first='Jada' last='Clardy'] is one of the top Freshmen in the State of Florida. The young baller can score from anywhere on the court and is a tough guard for any defender. Clardy is very efficient from behind the three point line. She can also take the ball to the rim and it's hard for any defender to stay in from of her. Clardy has great ball handling skills and is elite at getting to the rim. The transition game is like a playground for Clardy. She gets up and down the floor and scores with ease. She has great ball handling skills, can change directions on a dime, and can navigate though traffic       [player_tooltip player_id='708144' first='Jocelyn' last='Hoffmann'] is one of the best young point guards in the state and she continues to showcase her elite point guard abilities. She scores from all over the floor (scored from last week). It's not just the points, but the ability bro run the team at such a young age and have teammates and coaches look to Hoffman in crunch time. Her decision making is what is so awesome and her execution as well. Hoffman is definitely light years ahead of her age. She is a special young player.     [player_tooltip player_id='912251' first='Ella' last='Crowe'] had a great first week of play, averaging nearly 14 points and nearly 6 rebounds per game against elite competition. She can shoot the short jumper and loves to take it to the rim. Crowe does a great job of converting on the inside and loves to attack the glass. The young Freshman plays on both sides of the floor and brings the energy and the effort for the entire game.     [player_tooltip player_id='514910' first='Ja'Niya' last='Corbin'] was impressive this past week. I got a chance to see her the weekend before the season started and she was special. She brings speed and more speed to the floor and plays on both ends of the court. She is a player who can impact the game whether she scores 20 points or 2 points. Corbin is a special player and you see the athleticism, the body control, and the determination throughout the game. In the open court , she does a good job of attacking the defense and can score with the left or right hand. She is an exciting player and her skill level, poise, and confidence are way above that of an average Freshman player.
