<p>The Nike Tournament of Champions, the premier High School Girls' Basketball tournament in the US, returned to Phoenix on December 18th and as usual, there was an incredible amount of talented teams and players representing just about every state. The Dan Wiley Division was very competitive and there was a tremendous amount of talented players that were able to showcase their ability against some of the top teams in the country. Skutt Catholic out of Omaha, Nebraska, won the Division Championship for the 2nd year in a row. On Day 1, they dismantled a pretty solid Mesa HS team out of Mesa, Arizona, by 40 points. Canyon View High School, the defending class 5A State Champions in Arizona, also impressed on Day 1, by beating Canyon HS, of California 69-42. <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='608450' first='Jaila' last='Flowers'] was dominant of the first day of the tournament scoring 28 points, grabbing several rebounds, and showing why she is one of the top prospects in the Arizona class of 2026. She is the prototype power forward, with strength, explosiveness, and skill under the rim. She is a terrific athlete who has tremendous upside.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Molly Ladwig was the top Overall player in the Dan Wiley Division in my opinion. She can do it all. She is a highly skilled shooter that can hit consistently from 3, and create scoring opportunities off the drive. She has several finishes she can go to in the paint, and she is a very good ball handler and passer. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Jordyn Anderson in a versatile combo guard that can play 3 positions. She is a tremendous shooter. Her best attribute is that she plays within the flow of the game. She doesn't force things and she gets her teammates involved. She has an uncanny knack of getting out in the fast break and finishing. Terrific team player and leader. </p>

She is a terrific ball-handler who can distribute in traffic and makes good decisions with her passes. She is a shut-down defender that can guard 3 positions. When she is in the open floor with the ball she is unstoppable. She is only a Sophomore so she has time to continue to improve.</p>

She is tall and long, and is highly skilled for a big her age. She has the ability to play 4 positions which is rare for High School. Her best attribute in my opinion is that she is a fierce competitor that will continue to improve and grow as she gets older. </p>

She is a tall Point Guard that has a very high basketball IQ and has excellent ball-handling skills. She is a very good shooter and a tough defender. She displayed a lot of poise and leadership and is a tremendous prospect.</p>

She helped her team win a State Championship as a Sophomore and she showed tremendous leadership and poise during that run. She is an outstanding shooter. She can score from mid-range, in the paint, and is deadly from 3-point range. She is a long defender who can guard 3 positions. Tremendous upside.</p>

She has the ability to impact a game quickly both on the offensive end and the defensive end. She has excellent court vision and has the ability to see plays open up and deliver the ball on time. She has the potential to be top prospect.</p>
