Another game, another strong showing from Edmond North's workhorse in the paint. She beat up Newcastle to the tune of 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The assists are a huge sign of her growth. She often served as an offensive hub in the high post. Correctly making reads and feeds to teammates when she drew a crowd. Stepped out an even drained her one three point attempt. Continuing to have a one of the best starts to the season in Oklahoma.

Hazzard has flashes of big time impact. Helped inject some life into Edmond North in the second quarter, with active offensive rebounding. And swatting a shot. Her long arms and timing give her the potential to turn into one of the elite rim protectors in Oklahoma. Finished with a combined 5 "stocks".

The athletic freshman had a tall task against one of the best teams in Oklahoma. Had a hard earned 13 points, most of it coming in transition or with her dangerous off the dribble game. Good first step when getting down hill, and speedy in transition. Played passing lanes well. Finishing against North's size is potentially an area of improvement, but still a promising performance for one of Oklahoma's best freshmen.

Few players bring it on both ends as well as Dillard does for the Lady Panthers. She's a ball hawking defender, who can move her foot and use her wingspan to smoother opposing ballhandlers. Then also use her long arms plus quick hands to poke out errant dribbles and block shots. Along with setting the tone on defense, was the most consistent scorer. Tough driver, who can shift gears, and has some tricks with ballfakes and more. One of Oklahoma's best available guards. Will be a steal at the next level. Because in every viewing on Dillard in the last year she has always brought big time energy.

A do it all guard for Allen, Woodward caught the eye by doing a bit of everything. Often was tasked with being the player who brought it up against a tough Lady Panthers press. Has good handles, as along with breaking the press when she got downhill she drove and looked to create for others with good passes. Really caught the eye with quick hands and defensive awareness. Closed out quickly to block shots. Deflected passes and more. Strong all around performance.

It makes sense that the daughter of a coach would be a player who elevates her teammates. Seemingly always made the right passes. Pushed it off defensive boards or got in the middle of the zone and diced it up. Had a particularly great bounce pass out of a post up to a cutting teammate in the clutch. Has a good handle, with some unpredictability to her dribble style that made her a tough cover off the dribble. Good touch in the 8 foot and in range. Seemed to always be under control. Did what was required on defense, chasing around smaller guards or battling down low.

Sparkplug guard, who's a speedy terrorizer on the defensive end and a handful to keep out of the paint. Quick first step, often creating for others. Drilled a very clutch stepback in the final quarter. Type of shot that if she hit in a playoff game come March, she'll be a northwestern Oklahoma legend. Defensive tenacity was most apparent when she closed out the third quarter with a steal and score. Then followed it up by blocking Bixby's ensuing final shot. Fun player to watch and a northwestern Oklahoma small town gem.

Mustang smothered Owasso from the jump and a key component in their elite defense was the versatile and active Haywood. She's long been one of the top defenders in her class, and it's a perfect fit for the Lady Broncos' identity, especially this year. It was also nice to see the confidence and form she had when she buried a triple during one of Mustang's many runs on the night. Always been dangerous in the mid-range and off the bounce, now seems set to close out her high school career as a complete weapon.

The next up in the prestigious Haywood family. The younger sister was a super aggressive, point of attack defender. Multiple deflections from being in the passing lanes, and knocking balls looses with her quick hands. Seems to have a "bully mindset" as a defender, which is a good thing. Had some nice scores as well, but the defensive first mindset appears to be her current calling card.
