Killburn was Hartshorne's most consistent threat throughout and especially in a big fourth quarter that helped her team secure the season opening win. It started with early catch and shoot triples, then in the second half she did her damage on drives and around the basket. Including earning trips to the free throw line. Some of her scores came off hard work in transition, either sprinting without the ball to get early position. Or a nice coast to coast old fashion three point play, which was part of Hartshorne's answer to every push by Howe. She was crucial down the stretch thanks to being money at the line. Great balance of efficient scoring and "gamer" mentality.

Harmon put Norman North on her back with a full scoring arsenal. Has a great in-between game and feel on drives, beating her defender then stopping before help slides over and lofting shots over their outstretched arms. When she did run into contact, she was strong and often finished through the contact while also earning trips to the line. She's connected on big threes in the the second half and filled the stat sheet with rebounds and assists to go along with her scoring. Due to the elite talent at the top of the class, Harmon at times can go overlooked. But is every bit one of the top scorers in Oklahoma.

The swiss army knife senior for Mustang was their standout performer with a tenacity on the glass and defensively. She's athletic and strong when grabbing boards. Long had one sequence where she converted a putback, then seconds later jumped the passing lanes in a press to force a steal. On defense she has outstanding positioning to help wall off drives or even block shots. Good feel as a connector type paser in the half court, operating in spaces of the zone and making reads. Type of player that leaves her fingerprints all over all aspects of the game.

Tone setting on the defensive end. Applying on the ball pressure and on the floor to win loose balls. Good promise as a driver and attacker, with a good first step. Stopped and drilled a pull up, can tell she's working to become smoother on pull ups like that. Not the loudest scoring night, but good all around game.

It wasn't her best shooting night from the perimeter, which included a heart breaking rim out late, but Free was still impactful with a sneaky off the dribble game. Has some change of pace to her moves, allowing her to get to the rim for scoop finishes or good reads to open teammates. Has a variety of finishing moves to go along with the scoop shot, finger rolls, runners and more. Definitely hunts for shots along the perimeter like good shooters do; from off the ball movement to smartly using a screen in transition to shake loose for a three attempt. Promising start to her junior campaign, will be keeping track of her shooting splits.

Appears to still be shaking off some of the rust from a preseason injury. But the jumper is still there and she makes it LOOK easy with her quick release and pure shooting form. Put the pedal to metal more late, hopefully a sign that Alston will soon be 100% and have takeover moments as potentially one of the best scorers in Oklahoma.

Opened the contest with a nice dribble move, then was quieter on offense till big scores in the fourth. She earned trips to line and drilled a dagger three that put North up by 8 with about 3 minutes to play. While quieter offensively, she remains a rock solid defender, on and off the ball. And helps with rebounding as well.

Junior who made big plays all second half in helping Howe rally. Appears to be a reliable off the ball shooter. Also had a nice pull up at the free throw line and was an active defender. Which included a big time steal late, and getting after it throughout. Plays a key role in a strong junior class for Howe, that has dreams of another return to the Big House in March.

Another key piece of Norman North's versatile wings/forwards. Has some grit to her game on defense, was on the floor for an early loose ball. Forced a crucial turnover with a steal in the final frame. Hit a three to end the first half and will be interesting to see how her offensive contributions develop this year.
