Meet the Nominees
Avery Morris’s 42 points last night were second to 45 for most points in a game in the 51 year history of Lady Patriot basketball. Avery’s eight 3-pointers, 33 first half points are unofficial records as well. She went 8/8 from three in the first half.

.Jenna has a high range of ability on the court. From scoring the ball, to getting blocks on the defensive end. She helped a come back from Lugoff Elgin when they were down by 10+ and she gained 15+ points in the 4th quarter- leading them to victory.

Bella Borgos is one of the top players in Class 3A. She has scored over 1000 points by her Junior year, and a four year Varsity starter. She has committed to play basketball at the next level where she will continue to make an impact.

Carter Jones, West Ridge, Sophomore– led the Lady Wolves to three wins at the Carolina Invitational in Charleston with 21 points in a 70-24 win over Delaware Tech and 26 points in 54-33 victory over Lucy Beckham (SC) before breaking her own school-record with six three-pointers and 31 points in 61-55 decision over Chantilly (VA) earning TriCitiesSports.com Champion Chevrolet Player of the Week.
Highlights
As a point guard, she plays a pivotal role in the team’s success, consistently balancing scoring with exceptional defensive contributions. Despite Rolla being a smaller school, their stats have improved significantly, and Mariah has been instrumental in that progress.
She is regularly in the top three scoring positions and averages at least four steals per game, with a season-high of seven. Her defensive skills, which are often overlooked for point guards, have been a key factor in the team’s success. Competing in Class 6 for the first time this year, Rolla has already established itself as a strong contender, thanks in large part to Mariah’s leadership and skill.

In her teams two wins on the road this week, Jenna scored 56 points (47% FG), had 14 rebounds, and 10 deflections/steals.

Neleigh scored 35 points on 9-15 from the 3pt line in our conference tournament championship game. These marks set tournament records for most points in the final and for made 3s in a game.
