<p>The final days of the 2025 regular high school season are winding down. The 1A sub-state divisions begin play Monday, February 24, after seeding is set this coming Wednesday. Ahead of the quarterfinal games enjoy this look at several key players to watch in the 12-team Rawlins County 1A Division I sub-state. The sub-state includes teams from four different leagues.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='898167' first='Braelyn' last='Blackwill'], 5'6", SG, Quinter, 2028 - Blackwill is quickly establishing herself as one of the top freshman players in western Kansas. She is averaging 15.9 points and 4 steals per game. Blackwill has a reputation of being a high motor, two-way player.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='456514' first='Tayten' last='Dewey'], 5'10", SF, Rawlins County, 2025 - The Bethany College commit is looking to lead her team back to state for the second straight season. Currently averaging 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.5 steals she has a solid assist-to-turnovers ratio of 1.29. She has sunk 29% of her team-leading 78 three point attempts.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='779244' first='Camden' last='Franklin'], 5'6", PG, Rawlins County, 2027 - After a good freshman year Franklin has ratcheted up her numbers, reflecting her taking command of the point guard spot in 2025. She leads the team in scoring by a slim margin, 15.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4 assists, 4.9 steals, 2.8 turnovers. Franklin has a 1.79 assists to turnover ratio. Shot 33% from three and 68% from the line.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='918841' first='Bryn' last='Gillespie'], 5'7", CG, Quinter, 2025 - A member of the 2023 1A Div I state runner-up. Gillespie recently breached the 1,000 points threshhold. In January she broke the school record for steals in a game, collecting 14. Quick, versatile and poised. After losing to Rawlins County in a sub-state final last year Gillespie is driving the Bulldogs' return to the state tournament. In 2023 they finished runner-up.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1139837' first='Brylee' last='Minnick'], 5'10", PG, Decatur Community, 2026 - Racking up 15.6 points per game on 51% shooting Minnick is also leads the team in rebounding at 7 per game. She is shooting 31% from three point land and 61% from the line. The active floor leader is also using her size well to collect 2.7 steals and 1.6 blocks. Minnick is also distributing assists at a 2.2 per game rate. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='827719' first='Madison' last='Morgan'], 5'8", SG, La Crosse, 2026 - Morgan leads the Leopards in scoring. The prolific shooter gets to the line often, making 74% of her 84 attempts. She also leads the team in rebounding (6.2) and is near the top in steals (3.6) and assists (2.1).</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='881013' first='Leavie' last='Riner'], 5'10", PG, Osborne, 2026 - Riner is a smart, athletic ball handler who is averaging 4.3 assists and 4 steals. Her three point shot releases quickly from anywhere. Defensively she reads passing lanes well, is quick to get on the floor to recover turnovers and uses her hand speed well to generate steals. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='335932' first='Marilyn' last='Soeken'], 5'7", PG, Central Plains, 2025 - The highly driven Cloud County Community College commit leads the Oilers in points, rebounds, steals and assists. A member, as a freshman, of the Oilers' last state title team she lasted tasted playing in the state tournament 2023. The hard charging point guard has strong handles, scores well at all three levels and is a vocal floor leader.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='822750' first='Grace' last='William'], 5'11", PF/C, Osborne, 2025 - The Bethel College basketball and tennis commit is pulling down more than 7 rebounds per game. she has good size inside and will step out to nail the three-ball. She is one of the remaining members of the 2022 state tournament team.</p>
