Grayson hasn't lost since a season-opening defeat against Cherokee before [player_tooltip player_id='541429' first='Coco' last='Rudolph'] transferred in from Galloway. The Rams lack size but have an electric backcourt with Rudolph joining [player_tooltip player_id='302914' first='Tatum' last='Brown'], [player_tooltip player_id='1117399' first='Tamera' last='Rudolph'], [player_tooltip player_id='1260862' first='Zoie' last='Lofton'] and [player_tooltip player_id='302915' first='Jayla' last='Bennett']. Newton has battled injuries throughout the year but when healthy have an exciting D-I backcourt with [player_tooltip player_id='674571' first='London' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='674575' first='Mya' last='Perry']. [player_tooltip player_id='620398' first='Desiree' last='Davis'] has returned from an ACL tear to average 11.5 points per game. Archer lost [player_tooltip player_id='288506' first='Mearah' last='Whitehead'] to a knee injury but sister [player_tooltip player_id='968081' first='Braalyn' last='Whitehead'] has made an impact her freshman year. [player_tooltip player_id='926494' first='Cameron' last='Wade'] and Sanyia Sharper provide scoring from the perimeter. Grovetown's [player_tooltip player_id='780046' first='Asunti' last='Porter'] leads the Warriors in the hunt for the four-seed. South Gwinnett's [player_tooltip player_id='986770' first='Peace' last='Ashina'] is a D-I prospect.

Region 5

TEAMS: Cherokee, Etowah, Marietta, North Cobb, North Paulding, Walton, Wheeler

North Paulding is leading the pack in Class 6A after sweeping Region 5. Delaware-signee [player_tooltip player_id='371784' first='Ava' last='Andrews'] and Boston College-commit [player_tooltip player_id='674577' first='Morgan' last='Landrum'] are elite athletes. Kenzie and [player_tooltip player_id='1110874' first='Kalee' last='Hinkson'] are difference makers in the backcourt. Cherokee has a well-balanced group that can shoot the three exceptionally well. [player_tooltip player_id='476490' first='Madison' last='Moody'] has a neon green light. [player_tooltip player_id='926800' first='Ansley' last='Dunn'] has been one of the best freshmen playmakers in Georgia. Etowah has been a plucky group but have lost three-straight, beat 67-64 in double overtime by Cherokee, losing 47-38 to North Paulding and upended at Marietta 39-37 causing a logjam in the middle of the standings. The youth of [player_tooltip player_id='821842' first='Savannah' last='Aparicio'] (13.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 3.2 apg) and [player_tooltip player_id='991109' first='Caitlyn' last='Garcia'] (7.7 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 3.3 apg, 2.8 spg) has expedited the rebuild. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='926808' first='Taylor' last='Davis'] and Taylor Wills can strip the nets from beyond the arc. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='899814' first='Leah' last='DeWitt'] is pouring in 25 points per game. [player_tooltip player_id='743745' first='Jasmine' last='James'] scores 22 a night for Wheeler. [player_tooltip player_id='450165' first='Graycen' last='Ehlen'] is a physical mismatch that plays all over the floor and is inked to play goalkeeper at Mississippi State. [player_tooltip player_id='968089' first='Hananiah' last='Bell'] is a freshman to remember at North Cobb while [player_tooltip player_id='974880' first='Jaidyn' last='Taylor'] is one of the better young posts in Georgia.
