Prep Girls Hoops was in attendance for the SCISA Class 4A Semifinals yesterday at the Sumter County Civic Center. Both games went down to the wire. What schools will play in the State Championship Game on Friday? Read more inside right here on your source for basketball coverage in the Palmetto State all year long. SUBSCRIBE today and use the passcode "Swanny30" at checkout to save 30% off your first billing cycle. #RecruitThePalmettoState

Lady Titans Advance to Finals:

Trinity Collegiate defeated Northwood Academy for the 3rd time this season yesterday 49-41 to advance to the SCISA Class 4A State Championship Game. The Lady Titans received strong play from UNSIGNED senior [player_tooltip player_id='496272' first='Natalie' last='Pitts'] down in the paint. Pitts finished with 18 points while playing inside-out on the floor today. Natalie converted on a few three pointers when she wasn't finishing inside through contact. Pitts has a nice touch from the foul line, and she really played aggressive on both ends of the court today.

[player_tooltip player_id='369800' first='Autumn' last='Kind'] and [player_tooltip player_id='355927' first='Saleese' last='Kind'] were not to Kind to their opponent yesterday at times. Autumn plays the game very rugged at times and really brings a blue-collar mindset to the floor. She can step-out and extend the floor at times when she is not crashing the boards. Autumn really needs to stay out of foul trouble for the Lady Titans to be successful at times. She finished with 11 points today.

[player_tooltip player_id='355927' first='Saleese' last='Kind'] really brings great on the ball pressure with her defense. She takes pride in guarding the other team's best player. Saleese a UNSIGNED senior will jump on the deck for a loose ball without hesitation. She likes to play downhill to the bucket. Saleese finished with just 6 points, but she impacts the game so much for the Lady Titans with her play.

The Northwood Academy Lady Chargers finished the season at (17-9) under Head Coach Ginnell Curtis. The Lady Chargers suffered a 3rd loss this season to Trinity Collegiate. The game was tight all the way with the score being 23-23 at halftime and 34-33 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='324560' first='Maliyah' last='Birch'] finished with 10 points and surpassed the 1,000 career points. She currently has 1,009 points now. Maliyah was kept in check in the second half by the Lady Titans. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='688873' first='Ava' last='Reyes'] finished with 9 points while [player_tooltip player_id='280465' first='Alyvia' last='Tocco'] added 7 points.

First Baptist Wins at the Buzzer:

The First Baptist Lady Hurricanes defeated Heathwood Hall 54-52 to advance to the Class 4A State Championship Game on Friday. Ellie Blitch a track athlete in the spring finished with 4 points in the game. Blitch hit the game winner with time expiring on a pass from [player_tooltip player_id='403039' first='Gabby' last='Moore'] to secure the victory.

Moore a sophomore point guard led the First Baptist squad here today with 18 points. Moore made attempt to attack the basket all day long and get to the foul line. Gabby was able to finish at the bucket with her left-hand on several occasions. She really played today with a fearless mindset and an aggressive attitude to secure the victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='451803' first='AVA' last='RUSH'] and [player_tooltip player_id='257989' first='Paige' last='Pouyat'] both juniors finished with 10 points apiece respectively. Rush hit a clutch three-pointer down the stretch for the Lady Hurricanes. Pouyat connected on big three-pointers during the game tonight for the Purple and Black.

[player_tooltip player_id='748211' first='Madison' last='Pojani'] a freshman certainly plays very mature for her age at while on the floor. Madison has a good feel and understanding on where to be on the floor at times to make a play. She finished with 7 points. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='387006' first='Dyarri' last='Braddick'] a 6'5 center in the paint for First Baptist is really starting to play the game with more confidence with her play. The left-handed Braddick finished with 5 points. Dyarri still has her best basketball in front of her down the road.

Heathwood Hall finished the season at (17-4) this year. The Highlanders were led in scoring by Ole Miss signee [player_tooltip player_id='185040' first='Lauren' last='Jacobs'] with 17 points. Jacobs finished her career with 2,164 points and 4 state championships.

[player_tooltip player_id='216959' first='Sabreya' last='Monsanto'] an East Tennessee State University signee finished with 15 points today. She finished her career with 1,109 points. [player_tooltip player_id='185041' first='Camillea' last='Gore'] a UNSIGNED senior added 13 points in the loss today.

Heathwood Hall had won the past 2 SCISA Class 4A State Championships. Jacobs and Monsanto both finish their careers with 4 state championships. The duo won 2 at Cardinal Newman before enrolling at Heathwood Hall as sophomores.

Trinity Collegiate (20-3) vs First Baptist (29-2) on Friday for the SCISA Class 4A State Championship.
