Gabby is a solid guard for a talented Frist Baptist team. Her high school team has advanced to the semi playoffs of the Independent School league. She has a lot to do with the success because she is the floor general. She decides what tempo they are going to play each possession. Gabby facilitates the team and how they are going to score by creating her shots, making plays for her shooters or getting the ball inside to her paint players. She uses her IQ and ball handling to her advantage.

High IQ Point Guard that does a nice job of facilitating her team and making the right pass and decision in the half-court offense. She does a good job of staying aggressive coming off high ball screens and being a play maker. She can find her open shooters or post players if they are open. Gabby also has a nice floater and step through move in the paint. Defensively, she was very good in the press and traps of forcing turnovers.

The mark of how talented a prospect is can be seen in how said player performs against top-tier competition. Moore did that on Saturday afternoon at Goose Creek. Against one of the premier 4A teams in Gray Collegiate, Moore tallied 14 points to lead First Baptist, displaying why the Hurricanes are one of the premier 4A SCISA assemblings. She is a two-sport athlete who also plays soccer alongside her basketball achievements. Given her ability to run an offense, rim-attacking capabilities and willingness to draw contact to get to the free throw line, one can see that she has more experience than the typical junior – she has played at the varsity level since she was a middle schooler.

If one needed to know how skilled a ball distributor Moore is, look no further than last year’s SCISA 4A semifinal. Moore earned the game-winning assist as First Baptist stunned Heathwood Hall (defending champions at the time) in a 54-52 decision to earn a state date against Trinity Collegiate. Moore’s schedule this travel season with Palmetto 76ers/A’ja Wilson Elite has included the EYBL Session 2 in Des Moines and EYBL Session 3 in Louisville. Moore competed in 32 games last season with the Hurricanes and she averaged 9.4 points, six assists, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 steals.

Gabby Moore is a blur of motion, a high-motor guard who seems to have an extra gear. She isn’t afraid to get in the paint, weaving through bigger players, absorbing contact, and fighting for position like a forward. You can see the determination on her face as she gets physical, using her body to box out opponents and create space for herself.
Then there are those moments where she seems to be flying – launching herself towards the glass with incredible speed and agility. Whether it’s to crash the offensive rebounds, giving her team second-chance opportunities with put-backs or kick-outs, or to crash the defensive rebounds, securing possession and ending the opponent’s attack, her presence on the boards is undeniable. She’s not just waiting for the ball to come to her; she’s actively pursuing it, disrupting the flow, and making life difficult for the opposing team.

Moore averaged 8.9 ppg, 6.9 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 3.7 steals a season ago for the Lady Hurricanes. Gabby brings a good presence to the court from the lead guard position. She’s a true point guard from out top directing traffic. Gabby plays the game very vocal and looks to lead by communication and HUSTLE. She never hesitates at all to jump on the floor for a loose ball.
