2026 Rankings Update: Forwards

The newest update includes girls who range from role players to their team's star. Here's a look at some who made moves this round of rankings updates.   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/dakotas/rankings/north-dakota-rankings/2026-rankings/">FULL 2026 RANKINGS - CLICK ME!</a>   Power Forwards    Small Forwards    Stock Riser    Karleigh is more impressive each time I see her play.  She is such a physical presence out on the floor.  Her strength and athleticism is really impressive.  She has great leaping ability which allows her to rise up over her defender for jump shots.  She is able to keep possessions alive on the glass.  She has a powerful first step and plays with a swagger needed of a team's best player.    New Addition    Emberlyn is a really impressive forward who does a lot of things great offensively. She is very good at sealing up the lane for hi-lo passes. I am also impressed with her ability to duck in and use a great double-dropstep move. She does a really good job of drawing fouls and putting pressure on other teams' posts. She gets to the free-throw line and has a nice touch on her shot.    New Addition    Tess fits in really nice with Northern Cass's offense because of her ability to knock down drive and kick three-pointers. She is a steady player and makes good decisions. She is really good at reading drives and knowing when to back cut. She is a solid defender and keps the ball in front of her as well.    New Addition    Olivia is a steady player for the Jaguars.  She knows when to cut and is particularly good at cutting backdoor.  She is a good backside rebounder and nice sized defender.  She is capable of playing the middle of Northern Cass's 2-3 zone and holding her own against bigger defenders.    Stock Riser    Hallie recently scored her 1000 career point, an outstanding achievement and even more impressive to do as a Junior in high school. She thrives around the rim, despite her modest size for a post. She does an excellent job of posting up and knowing when to duck-in her defender. She isn't a ‘black hole' in the post either. She knows when to pivot to the middle and skip opposite to one of her teammates for an easy three-point attempt. Hallie is a great player and key to Bottineau's success.    Stock Riser    Olivia had a great season for the Central Cass Squirrels, earning herself on the All-Region team. She is a superb athlete who moves extremely well. She is fast up the court with long strides. She has great vision and makes the right reads on her drives. She does the little things well, like being shot ready and moving on the perimeter to maintain space in the half-court. Olivia will continue to improve and I am interested to see how she progresses.    New Addition    Hudson was an All-District selection this season and is a quality player. She is listed as a forward but plays more of a guard position on the offensive side. Defensively she is required to guard bigger opponents. She has a solid base and is very strong which allows her to compete near the rim. She is a powerful driver to the basket and has a great ability to finish despite only being 5'4. She will be important to May-Port-C-G if they want to make it back to the state tournament next season.    New Addition    Kelsey was described by her coach as someone who does a little bit of everything.  Players like Kelsey are critical to teams achieving success.  She is a solid defender and competes against girls that are bigger than her.  She is a sneaky offensive player, cutting behind defenders for easy dump off passes from her teammates for layups.  She is a smart player and plays bigger than her size.    Stock Riser    Any player that is 6'2 and plays basketball intrigues me. Carolyn is a key reserve for the Grovers and will see her role increase next season as fellow post [player_tooltip player_id='1055595' first='Hailey' last='Neumann'] graduates. Her size allows her to be a force on the defensive end, plugging up the lane. She is able to reach for rebounds and does a decent job of rim running. She could turn herself into a good high school player going forward with some time in the weight room and the gym this summer.
