4A/5A Finals Standouts

I watched two final games on Thursday and Friday March 6th-7th with  Flagstaff defeating Eastmark 44-30 for the 4A Chip and Canyon View Snowflake defeated Kellis 44-40 in the 5A Chip.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here were the 4A/5A Final Standouts</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='608451' first='Aaliyah' last='Rogers'] Canyon View (Pictured)   An athletic defensive minded point guard. She collects steals that often lead into layups with her incredible open court speed. She is one of the better two-way guards with her quicker feet and hands. She loves using her left to get to the basket and will score with offensive rebound put backs and can stop on a dime and hit the jumper. She scored 9 points.        [player_tooltip player_id='639464' first='Cynthia' last='Tewksbury'] Canyon View   A scoring point guard gets to the basket with a sneaky quick burst to the basket. She is a catch and shoot three point gunner who can get hot quickly. She hit two back to basket triples in the finals to take a slim lead 33-31 (which was the first lead of the game.)  She plays a cerebral brand of ball and led by example being a senior. She scored 11 points.     [player_tooltip player_id='608450' first='Jaila' last='Flowers'] Canyon View   A tough and physical power forward is highly productive. She scores with drop steps into a bucket or get to the free throw line, dribble drives and spin moves off the glass. She is a great rebounder in her area and scored a tough and-1 to essentially seal the victory. She scored 10 points 10 rebounds with 2 steals and 2 blocks.   [player_tooltip player_id='996609' first='Zariyah' last='Odom'] Canyon View   A freshman forward with some toughness and a mini attitude. She plays with an inner confidence and you can tell how badly she wanted to make an impact. She rebounds well and can handle it decently to handle the ball up the court.     [player_tooltip player_id='971358' first='Nelly' last='Walker'] Kellis   A quick on quick scoring point guard. The ball is on a string for her and she can jet past most of her opponents. She will hit the three off the catch and burst to the basket and earn it on the free throw line.   [player_tooltip player_id='758872' first='Luz' last='Marian Santos Mas'] Kellis   One of the top natural rebounders in the class. She has a big time motor with some size that doesn't stop. She scores with offensive rebound put backs, she can hit the three and go coast to coast with a nice handle for position. She scored 13 points with 14 rebounds.       [player_tooltip player_id='660218' first='Shanielle' last='Mallory'] Kellis   A scoring point guard has a nice bag to score. She uses the floater game, blow by layups and transition baskets with her incredible speed with the ball. Her ability to push the rock to single handedly break a press and then make a play or score makes her game go. She scored 12 points with 5 steals.      [player_tooltip player_id='831761' first='Jeorgia' last='Parks-Rodriquez'] Kellis   An athletic wing who has a clean lefty stroke from the free throw line. She handles it well in the open court and has a great motor to rebound in and out of her area. She moves well in space to defend on the perimeter and inside.     [player_tooltip player_id='1196217' first='Lexi' last='Neal'] Flagstaff   A defensive minded point guard is a tough on-ball defender with quicker feet and hands. She scores with runners in the lane,  catch threes and will collect steals. She will drive and kick it and make plays for her teammates. She scored 7 points with 5 assists 1 steal and 2 blocks.     [player_tooltip player_id='1196215' first='Nidaya' last='Nez'] Flagstaff   A defensive point guard can score with the floater game and will catch and shoot from the three point line. She applies a lot of pressure on the ball defensively.  She is very aggressive in the passing lanes and the 50/50 balls as a plus rebounder. She sees the court well.    [player_tooltip player_id='612227' first='Teagan' last='Martin'] Flagstaff    A scoring combo guard with great size is a catch and shoot deep three point shooter. She is an outstanding rebounder for his position and scores it well in transition. She was the heart and soul of the team all year and she is a tough cover. She scored 13 points.   [player_tooltip player_id='1196214' first='Sunshine' last='Begoody'] Flagstaff   She is a gifted freshman who is a quick on quick scoring point guard. She can hit the three off the catch and sees the court well. She will drive and kick it to a shooter and pull-up off the dribble. She scored 13 points with 1 assist and 1 steal.      [player_tooltip player_id='1211427' first='Kyleigh' last='Walker'] Flagstaff   A scoring guard is a mid-range shooter and has a quick trigger on her three point shot. She will also score with layups after she blows by her initial defender.     [player_tooltip player_id='1211410' first='Isabella' last='Jackson'] Eastmark   A senior point guard with good speed to blow by and get to the basket using her handle and frame. She uses the pick and roll game and can hit the three off the catch. A true leader trying to motivate her teammates. She is quick on the ball and is a good passer into the post plus she will collect steals.    [player_tooltip player_id='808127' first='Ella' last='LaFountain'] Eastmark   A bigger sized point guard will score with blow by layups and gets to the basket with hesitation moves. She has a very quick trigger on her shot and once she gets into the painted area she will score or get fouled. She scored 8 points.   [player_tooltip player_id='1211418' first='Anna' last='LaFountain'] Eastmark   A face up power forward can score with threes off the catch and she also knows how to seal her defender and go to work in the paint. She can score with drop step moves, hook shots or mid-range jumpers. She scored 13 points.
