“The Ceiling is the Roof,” Michael Jordan, March 4th, 2017. If it's a phrase that's good enough for one of basketball's legends, then why not use to describe high upside players in Oklahoma's Class of 2028. These top 6 all had sensational freshman seasons, and frankly there's not a lot of seperation among the group. With each prospect making a strong case to be the best prospect in the class.

Complete wing, who makes an impact all over the court. Smooth and skilled scorer, who is tough to keep out of the lane in the halfcourt. And is an athletic force in transition, especially with her improved finishing abilities. Applies those same athletic traits to the defensive end as a tough and aggressive defender. Put up numbers against one of the best defenses in the state, Class 6A Mustang. Then led her 4A squad to the State Tournament. Is off and running to start a busy grassroots summer, where she'll be playing at the 16U level against national competition. Special set of tools and a winning mindset are evident for Kindred and her bright future.

Averaged over 20 points a game for Class 4A State Tournament squad Madill. Is firmly in the conversation for top prospect in the class. Next level athlete, with a combination of explosiveness and strength. End to end speed is scary, making her a transition threat with elite finishing at the rim. Long strider who can make it look easy while she glides by the opposition. Equally impactful on defense with her long arms and athleticism causing deflections, steals and blocks. Can also be a floor spacing spot up threat, with textbook form and mechanics on her jumper. Arguably the most complete prospect in this class and is set to dominate for the Banshees on the national girls UAA circuit.

When asking coaches of various levels who the top freshman in Oklahoma is, Woods was possibly the most frequent pick. Which with the way she handles the rock and has a feathery soft touch on her jumper, it makes a ton of sense. The 405 guard has the type of shot that once it leaves it her hands, it always looks like it's going in. Which it often is. She's equally capable of bombing from distance, while also making a living in the mid-range. Woods was a key part of a Douglass team that finished runner ups in 4A, and her influence should only grow as her career progresses. Expect her to make waves on the 3 Stripes circuit with the Texas based Lady Jets program.

The defensive capabilities and full impact were on display all season for Miles. She's a tenacious defender, with a rare combination of anticipation and athleticism to rack up "stocks" and other disruptive plays. She was a high level rebounder at the small school level, while also being an unselfish passer. Triple doubles and possibly even quadruple dribbles are on the horizon with the way she produces stats all over the court. Offensively she was productive as a scorer, but will need to continue to improve her efficiency as a scorer as she levels up for the next level. Odds are she will, because the northern Oklahoma prospect is a gamer.

Prestridge is a dynamic guard, who plays taller than her size thanks to athleticism and high motor. Big time rebounder for her age and tends to fill up the full stat sheet. As a scorer, she has a quick first step, which pairs well with her explosiveness when going up to finish at the rim. Can get skinny to go through gaps in the defense, all while maintaining balance and good footwork. Created a very exciting sister duo with her older sister Kyiah (2026). Already averaged double figures in 6A, and looks set to follow in the potential Power 4 quality recruit footsteps of Kyiah.

Richardson closed the season on a tear, which included averaging 17.5 points a game at the Class 5A State Tournament. Smooth and complete scorer, with quality athleticism. The poise she plays with her age is impressive, as she rarely looks rushed or hurried. Wide variety of dribble moves and ball fakes further make her a handful off the dribble. While also capable of smoothly stopping and popping for jumpers. With the way she finished her freshman season for 5A semifinalist Carl Albert, Richardson should be in the conversation for best overall scorers in Oklahoma, sooner rather than later.
