What I like most about the Green Bay Preble guard is her responsibility with the ball. Lucassen isn't flashy and doesn't try to force too much with the ball in her hands. The Hornet shot the ball efficiently and helped the Hornets compete with the top middle-of-the-pack FRCC teams. Lucassen isn't the most prominent name in the 2026 guard class, but she helped herself over the high school season. Scholarship-level programs should look at her if they have room to do so. Even if she doesn't land in a scholarship program, high-level D3s will love Lucassen.

The draw for Nelson is her athleticism. The 5'10 Oshkosh native is an explosive kid who can make things happen on both ends of the floor in a heartbeat. The Wildcats are traditionally a solid defensive unit, and they were this season with new pieces, including Nelson. The 5'10 wing may be the next linchpin for the Wildcats defense. Her length, lateral quickness, and ability to outperform her opposition will help her pass the eye test whenever a coach at the next level sees her. She has plenty of room to grow but has the athletic tools most kids don't have.

The Notre Dame wing split time with the Tritons JV and Varsity team this season and stepped into roles when needed on Varsity. Her season was stop-and-go the whole way through, but she played minutes in games that mattered, like Bay Port on the road and Kimberly and Providence Academy at their gym. Hinz has the trust of Coach Rhode, or she wouldn't have seen the floor in those games, let alone the minutes that mattered in those games. She's a physical kid who has shown flashes of potential and should have some confidence heading into the AAU season.

Sometimes, kids from around the border with Minnesota get forgotten because they play AAU ball in the metro or never play at the population centers in Wisconsin for high school basketball. Southeast Wisconsin, down by Racine and Kenosha, has that same view but with Illinois. King may be among the most versatile kids in her 2028 class. The 5'11 Wing/Forward played inside out for the Angels this season and found success. She may not have been as efficient as you'd hope, which is nitpicky, but that'll work itself out. I loved her motor, and she still has room to improve.
