The 2025 Cagers Invitational was a great experience again this year. 26 different travel clubs attended with college coaches from D2, NAIA, D3, and JUCO programs recruiting both days. There was comprehensive live media coverage both days by LBI and PGH at the tournament, with 20 hours of in-court coverage by PGH this weekend! The attending teams truly received the best possible tournament coverage at the event–every 2029-2026 team was evaluated and watched this weekend. Nearly 60 prospects will be included in my post-tournament write-ups this week, with nearly half being written about for the very first time. That's what Prep Girls Hoops Michigan is all about–discovering new prospects from every club in the state who have the potential to play college basketball at any level. The Cagers Invitational is the perfect exposure tournament for most teams in the state. The organization, staff, format, and competition are terrific. I will continue to support it annually, and I hope to see independent travel clubs take advantage of this great event in 2026! Coming to this tournament gives your players a great chance to put their best abilities on display in front of college scouts, coaches, and trusted media sources. Why Should My Club Attend?

Brynn's stock keeps going up, and she added another exclamation point with [program_tooltip program_id='714458' first='Michigan' last='Cobras'] at the Cagers Invitational. Brynn fits the mold of a college wing--her athleticism, vertical jump, quickness, physical strength, and continuous effort on both ends checked the boxes. Brynn bullied defenders inside and was excellent with her back to the basket. She sealed a defender for an entry pass and scored a drop-step layup off two feet. Brynn pinned her defender again and used an effective high-rip pivot step-through move to finish with a layup. She added yet another step-through for two after a strong seal in the low post. Brynn jumped high into the air to snag a pass at it's highest point, finished layups with both hands, secured rebounds, and kept getting to the free throw line. She ended the tourney with an impressive 13-point and eight-rebound performance.

Kayla is an athletic wing who has the potential to be a solid next-level prospect. She battled for offensive rebounds and scored a left-hand layup with a quick transfer off the catch. Kayla showed her outside range when she swished a straightaway triple and changed directions using a speedy crossover to score a layup with a burst.

Lucy put herself on our radar with a strong tournament at the Cagers Invitational last year, and she returned with [program_tooltip program_id='1244063' first='Great' last='Lakes Grind'] to grab everyone's attention this year. Lucy's imposing physical stature and athleticism immediately separate her from the pack. She's a 6-foot combo forward with height, strength, and versatility that gives her a high ceiling as a college prospect. Lucy was an offensive rebounding and put-back machine. She applied immense pressure on defense, which resulted in many steals and finished several layups off two feet with touch around the basket. Lucy sealed her defender with a strong stance, used a drop step, and powered through contact to score off two feet. Lucy is a dedicated teammate and passionate about the game. She drove three hours home for prom on Saturday and then back to finish the tournament on Sunday.

Halle had one of the purest shots at the Cagers Invitational, and she stood out in a big way for [program_tooltip program_id='712670' first='Michigan' last='Storm Elite GUAA'] 2028. Halle swished 3-point jumpers straight through the net like the ball dropped from the ceiling. She worked hard to secure offensive rebounds and drove downhill to score a determined layup off two feet. Halle was active on defense and handled the ball with poise.

Halle is a shooting guard/wing prospect who showed promise with [program_tooltip program_id='1244063' first='Great' last='Lakes Grind'] at the Cagers Invitational. She pursued rebounds relentlessly, stopped drives with her quick lateral slides, and provided constant ball pressure. Halle used her active arms and length to make an impact on defense, deflecting passes and blocking shots. She scored a tough left-handed layup off two feet after splitting defenders with an explosive downhill burst. Halle knocked down perimeter jumpers and shot the ball with confidence.

Brooke is a combo forward who continues to display her ability to impact games on the perimeter, and that's exactly what she did for [program_tooltip program_id='712670' first='Michigan' last='Storm Elite GUAA'] 2026 at the Cagers Invitational. She knocked down 3-point shots and mid-range jumpers efficiently, while also providing strong interior defense and rebounding. She showed the physicality and height to defend forwards in the paint, while also challenging wings on the perimeter. Brooke is a prospect I've seen many times who continues to prove her value.

Kira is an athletic wing from [program_tooltip program_id='715424' first='The' last='Naturals'] 2027 who caught my attention with her playmaking abilities and long frame at the Cagers Invitational. She worked inside to secure an offensive rebound and finished the play with a layup. Kira drove vigorously down the lane and used a sweet high-rip euro step move to convert a tough layup. She scored again off two feet, tacked on a free throw, and buried a confident wing three. Kira is a promising prospect, and this won't be the last time she leaves a lasting impression on the court.
