The combination of size and skill-set that [player_tooltip player_id='817523' first='McKenzie' last='Lewis'] possesses is noteworthy. We have said that from the first day of her Freshman year of high school. This is someone who can dominate her personal matchups in a number of ways. She can go to work and play with her back to the basket with her size but her game-style is more of a guard. She can attack off the dribble to create, she can finish through contact on either side of the bucket, and she can pull up for a jumper when she has adequate time. Lewis has had a successful AAU season so far individually. She is putting up some respectable numbers and that production should translate back to high school ball come June.

One of the most promising young prospects out of the 2029 Class in Nebraska Is [player_tooltip player_id='897256' first='Emerson' last='Johnson']. Johnson is a 5'10 guard that will attend Elkhorn South High School. This is someone that I would be putting on Varsity right away this Winter so that to get use to the pace of play. Johnson's got lengthy arms, a natural ability to score over smaller defenders, and she knows not to force unneeded action. When players are "good" when they are younger, they tend to be "chuckers". As soon as they have the ball, it's gotta go up for a shot but not Johnson. She knows where she makes her money, per se. She lets the defense pick what she is going to do and she adapts from there. It'll be interesting to see how she moves into the system at Elkhorn South. If she is used in the right way, watch out.

Been impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='782232' first='Lena' last='Evans'] and the progress she has shown on the court over the past twelve months. Evans, a 5'8 CG, is coming into her own. She has always competed with a high motor and great attitude but now the skill side of things are starting to show through the surface. Offensively, she has shown that she can do anything asked of her. She can run your PG spot within your offensive system but she really thrives off the ball at the 2 or 3. She doesn't need a lot of time or dribbles to produce and she can produce from every level, in any way you'd like. Defensively, an absolute dawg. First on the floor for a loose ball and willing to defend all positions. Even a Center in the post with her physicality if need be. I'm not sure when it'll happen but Evans is a D2 talent and those offers are sure to come sooner rather than later. Especially with the type of game-film she has been posting on Social Media.

Basketball can be subjective a bunch of different ways but you can't deny the bottom line. The production. Someone that has been a constant producer on any court she steps on this past year is CG/PG - [player_tooltip player_id='758994' first='Abbi' last='Durow']. Durow was a staple this past Winter for her high school program. She led them every game in one facet or another, usually being their most productive player in multiple categories of the game. That same production has come alive this AAU season with her [program_tooltip program_id='712709' first='Nebraska' last='Attack'] 17U Rise team. She is dishing out nifty assists, getting to her spots, and making solid plays defensively while sticking in-front of her matchups. All in all, Durow is a college level prospect. Whoever picks her up is locking in a go-getter, who can make some things happen on the hardwood. That's for sure.

Speaking on the special Class that is the 2029 group in Nebraska, [player_tooltip player_id='897434' first='Mia' last='McKenzie'] would be a name that you should have marked down by now. McKenzie stands at 6'0 and every time I see her compete, she is looking more and more experienced with her guard skill-set. She is always moving effortlessly for her height, she understands to hurry down the floor into open space for looks in transition, she can produce in a half court offense, and she works relentlessly on defense. I'm not sure where McKenzie will be going high school but wherever that is, I'm sure she will be seeing some Varsity time before you know it. She has been raising some eye-brows this Spring so far and it's only just the beginning for her.
